Job Summary
We are seeking to appoint a Hospital Sales Executive to be based in Lagos and Abeokuta. Our mission is to drive significant improvements in family planning and HIV/AIDS prevention across Nigeria by leveraging social marketing strategies, alongside the promotion and distribution of our products.
Oversee the management and strategic development of key client relationships to drive revenue growth and ensure customer satisfaction. Develop and execute tailored account plans that align with organizational objectives and client needs. Lead cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions and exceed performance targets. Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and client feedback to identify opportunities and mitigate risks. Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, service-level agreements, and compliance standards. Foster long-term partnerships through proactive communication, negotiation, and value-added services. Provide regular performance reports and actionable insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Demonstrate expertise by promptly and thoroughly managing the designated territory, cultivating strong, mutually beneficial connections with healthcare providers and customers, and guaranteeing seamless and sufficient product distribution. Maintain an accurate and updated list of these relationships to support ongoing business operations and growth.
Regularly conduct visits to hospitals, clinics, maternity homes, PPMVs, pharmacies, supermarkets, convenience stores, and individual providers to verify and maintain the availability of our products.
Attain designated monthly sales objectives while ensuring timely cash collection.
Diligently execute the organization’s medical detailing program within the designated area, providing healthcare providers with comprehensive education on family planning and a wide range of contraceptive options.
Execute a specified volume of calls each day, conduct visits across all designated distribution channels, meet established sales targets, and present merchandise in adherence to the organization’s established guidelines and standards.
Compose and distribute comprehensive field sales reports, including relevant photographs, to ensure thorough documentation of activities.
Serve as a pivotal liaison between the organization and healthcare providers, driving sales and distribution initiatives as well as medical detailing efforts, while concurrently enhancing provider capabilities. Additionally, assess and address training requirements of providers, ensuring their professional development aligns with organizational goals.
Enhancing the organization’s reputation across designated operational regions and markets.
Seeking a highly skilled professional with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in the relevant field, along with a proven track record of success in similar roles. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and demonstrate expertise through certifications or advanced training. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, as the role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools, as well as a commitment to continuous learning and professional development, are also required.
A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, or Biological Sciences is required for this role.
With a minimum of four years of experience in medical detailing, preferably within a multinational pharmaceutical organization, candidates are expected to demonstrate a strong background in this field.
Frequent travel within the designated territory is an essential component of this role, requiring readiness for regular trips.
Must demonstrate a strong commitment to ethical standards and accountability, ensuring adherence to organizational values and professional conduct in all responsibilities.
Skilled in delivering sophisticated presentations, conducting thorough analysis, and communicating effectively—both verbally and in writing.
