The principal oversees the school’s daily operations, ensuring smooth functioning of all activities. They provide leadership and direction to the staff while monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate records, and upholding discipline to foster a productive learning environment and drive academic excellence.
Responsibilities include overseeing key operational functions, ensuring adherence to established protocols, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The role demands meticulous attention to detail in monitoring performance metrics, analyzing data to identify trends, and implementing corrective measures as needed. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to align strategies, facilitate communication, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Leadership responsibilities encompass mentoring staff, delegating tasks effectively, and fostering a culture of accountability and innovation within the team.
Consistently track and provide regular updates on the advancement of staff and students in meeting the established educational objectives of the institution.
Coordinate, oversee, evaluate, and document all assessments and examinations administered within the college by preparing and presenting comprehensive reports.
Ensure that all mandated statutory records—including diaries, registers, NLP, SOL, and lesson notes—are consistently maintained and kept current by teaching staff.
Compile the academic timetable for the school and ensure all required cover arrangements are made in a timely manner.
Maintain strict adherence to the school’s academic timetable while ensuring timely and accurate monitoring of student and staff attendance in lessons.
Oversee the readiness of students for academic competitions.
Facilitate the registration process for students in external examinations.
Ensure the adherence to rules and regulations among both students and staff, fostering an environment of order and mutual respect.
Act as a liaison with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement specialized initiatives designed to enhance the school’s reputation as a premier educational institution.
Liaise closely with department heads to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor’s degree in the field of education is required.
A certified educator registered with the Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is required.
Skilled in a variety of instructional strategies and methodologies, with expertise in effective teaching practices.
A thorough understanding of relevant laws, policies, and procedures is required.
Skilled in utilizing various computer applications and systems with a high degree of proficiency.
Occasional willingness to work beyond standard hours is required.
Skilled in interpersonal communication and relationship-building, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Proficient in conveying ideas clearly and effectively through both spoken and written channels.
Exceptionally strong organizational capabilities, with a keen ability to structure tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain meticulous attention to detail in fast-paced environments. Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple responsibilities while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all deliverables.
