Job Summary
A highly motivated and technically proficient IT Support Officer is required to deliver responsive first-line technical assistance and maintain the seamless functionality of the organization’s IT infrastructure.
The successful applicant will address hardware and software malfunctions, conduct routine maintenance of computer systems, provide technical assistance to end-users, and sustain high operational efficiency of IT resources.
Oversee and execute diverse responsibilities encompassing strategic planning, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives. Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and fostering innovation within the team. Serve as a liaison between departments, stakeholders, and leadership to align efforts with company goals. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and implement corrective actions to optimize outcomes. Prepare and present reports to senior management, detailing progress, challenges, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Offer troubleshooting and resolution services for a range of technical challenges, including hardware malfunctions, software errors, network disruptions, and system failures, to assist employees in maintaining optimal productivity.
Install, configure, and maintain an array of IT infrastructure, including desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and related peripherals, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Investigate and resolve issues related to operating systems, software applications, and network connectivity.
Oversee and ensure the operational integrity of computer systems, networks, and IT infrastructure.
Conduct regular system updates, execute data backups, and carry out preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Establish and oversee user accounts, email accounts, and access permissions to ensure secure and efficient system administration.
When the need arises, elevate intricate technical challenges to senior IT staff members or external vendors for resolution.
Maintain precise documentation of support requests, resolutions, and IT asset inventories.
Provide support in the execution of IT policies, procedures, and security standards to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Facilitate the implementation of innovative hardware, software, and technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and system capabilities.
Maintain adherence to established data security protocols and information technology standards.
Deliver comprehensive training sessions and provide expert guidance to users, ensuring proficient and effective utilization of IT systems and applications.
Seeking a highly motivated professional with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in a similar role. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is mandatory, and additional certifications or advanced degrees are advantageous. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, a keen attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent discipline is required.
A minimum of one to three years of hands-on experience in IT Support, Help Desk, Technical Support, or an equivalent position is required.
Proficiency in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, networking fundamentals, and hardware troubleshooting is required.
Possesses solid expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues within LAN/WAN infrastructures, including routers, switches, and internet connectivity challenges.
Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in problem-solving and analytical reasoning, enabling the identification and resolution of complex challenges with precision and efficiency.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal aptitude, are essential.
Capable of organizing tasks efficiently and maintaining high productivity with limited oversight.
Professional certifications in Compton A+, Network+, ITIL, or equivalent credentials will be considered advantageous.
