Job Summary
An Interior Designer is responsible for developing, designing, and implementing creative furniture and interior design solutions that precisely meet client requirements while upholding the elevated standards of our premium brand.
This position demands a distinctive fusion of artistic creativity, technical design expertise, and strong project management capabilities to facilitate smooth project execution from start to finish.
Oversee and execute core duties encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance efficiency and productivity. Lead project initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals while mitigating risks. Monitor team performance, provide mentorship, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Analyze data trends, generate actionable insights, and present findings to stakeholders to inform decision-making. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal standards to uphold quality and integrity. Serve as a liaison between departments, facilitating seamless communication and coordination to achieve collective success.
Conceptualize and transform client briefs into distinctive, visually appealing furniture and interior design concepts. Create detailed sketches, curated mood boards, and compelling 3D visualizations to effectively communicate and bring design ideas to life.
Present design proposals and progress updates to clients, leadership, and project teams, fostering strong working relationships through active engagement. Collaborate directly with clients to refine design concepts and seamlessly integrate their feedback into final deliverables.
As a Technical & Production Liaison, you will effectively convey design specifications to production teams and contractors. You will collaborate closely with production and operations teams to assess feasibility, ensure functionality, and maintain structural integrity.
Monitor projects to ensure they remain on schedule and within allocated budgets while supervising the execution of design concepts throughout each phase, from initial prototyping to final production.
Conducting frequent on-site evaluations is essential to uphold design integrity and superior finishing standards in alignment with company requirements, while simultaneously ensuring adherence to safety, sustainability, and ergonomic protocols.
Effective stakeholder management is essential, requiring collaboration with architects, artisans, subcontractors, and other key project stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient project execution.
Leverage insights from both international and domestic industry developments, emerging materials, and cutting-edge design methodologies to infuse contemporary flair into every project.
Applicants must hold a relevant academic degree in a related field, alongside a minimum of three years of experience in an analogous professional setting. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is required, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with current industry trends and best practices is essential, as is a commitment to continuous professional development.
A Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture from an accredited institution is required; a more advanced degree or pertinent professional certification is preferred.
With a proven track record spanning 3 to 5 years, you possess hands-on experience in either Project Design or Interior Design.
Professionals with substantial expertise in Commercial Interiors—including Workplace/Corporate settings, retail environments, and Hospitality/Restaurant spaces—are strongly preferred for this role.
Required Qualifications and Attributes:
A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience is essential. Proficiency in project management methodologies, including Agile and Scrum, is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to navigate complex challenges effectively. Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, are critical for fostering collaboration and conveying ideas clearly. Experience with [specific software/tools, if applicable] is a must. Skilled in the complete design process, encompassing space planning, color theory, material properties, furniture systems, FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment), and technical specifications.
Project & Compliance Expertise: Demonstrates hands-on experience in project costing, contract management, adherence to local building codes, and navigating local permitting processes.
Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and precision in execution, ensuring the highest standards of quality and service excellence. Capable of sustaining peak performance while managing multiple high-pressure projects concurrently with unwavering consistency.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong graphic proficiency, facilitate effective collaboration across various disciplines and foster productive relationships with both clients and team members.
