Our client is looking for a meticulous and dependable Accounting Officer to oversee financial documentation, facilitate daily accounting activities, and uphold precision in all monetary transactions. Oversee and execute critical operational duties to ensure seamless business functionality, including managing daily workflows, coordinating team efforts, and maintaining high standards of efficiency and productivity. Accurately and promptly document all daily financial transactions with precision.
Prepare and distribute invoices, receipts, and payment documentation to ensure accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with established procedures.
Track accounts receivable and payable operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Diligently pursue overdue payments and facilitate prompt collections to maintain financial stability.
Regularly reconcile bank statements with company financial records to ensure accuracy and maintain financial integrity.
Oversee financial documentation by meticulously recording and tracking expenses to ensure accuracy and organization.
Provide assistance with payroll processing duties as needed.
Compile essential financial reports and develop concise summaries to effectively communicate key financial insights.
Verify adherence to organizational financial policies and guidelines.
Provide support throughout audits and financial evaluations to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.
Ensure accurate and organized filing and record-keeping procedures are maintained at all times.
Carry out additional accounting and administrative responsibilities as directed by management, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with established procedures.
The position necessitates a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in a similar role. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, preferably in a discipline pertinent to the industry. Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential for success in this role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is mandatory, along with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for collaborating with team members and stakeholders. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline, such as an HND or Bachelor’s, is required.
