We seek an accomplished Head of Marketing & Growth to spearhead the Growth team in Nigeria, driven by data and a relentless focus on results. This role reports directly to the Africa Marketing & Growth Director and collaborates closely with the Nigeria General Manager. You will oversee a dedicated team of three professionals, ensuring strategic alignment and measurable impact.

You will be responsible for leading all growth, marketing, and engagement strategies, with a focus on identifying and implementing the most profitable initiatives to enhance Glove’s market position and visibility.

Performance will be assessed by measuring key performance indicators related to customer acquisition and engagement.

You will oversee the following key responsibilities: managing and executing projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets while meeting quality standards. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide progress updates, and align objectives with organizational goals. Your role will involve analyzing data to identify trends, proposing data-driven solutions, and presenting findings to stakeholders. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, as you will coordinate tasks, delegate responsibilities, and maintain clear documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Furthermore, you will monitor performance metrics, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful project delivery.

Formulating and implementing effective growth strategies forms the cornerstone of this role, encompassing meticulous planning, precise execution, and continuous performance evaluation to drive sustainable business expansion.

Devise and implement the regional marketing strategy, customizing the worldwide framework to align with local market requirements.

Execute and oversee local marketing initiatives, encompassing both offline and online channels, while managing and refining content strategies to achieve predetermined growth objectives.

Analyze the local media landscape to strategically determine the optimal balance between digital and non-digital investments, ensuring the highest possible user base expansion while maintaining adherence to the established Cost of Acquisition (CAC) targets.

Develop and implement strategic local partnerships to enhance brand recognition across Nigeria.

Analytical and research duties encompass a range of critical tasks, including the collection, examination, and interpretation of complex data to derive meaningful insights and support informed decision-making. These responsibilities require a keen attention to detail, proficiency in analytical tools and methodologies, and the ability to synthesize information from diverse sources. Additionally, the role involves conducting thorough research to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities, ensuring accuracy and reliability in findings. Effective communication of results through clear reports and presentations is essential to guide strategic initiatives and drive organizational growth.

Leverage your quantitative analysis skills and data visualization expertise to uncover deeper insights into user behavior, enabling you to pinpoint growth opportunities and implement strategic initiatives that enhance product adoption and engagement.

Collaborate effectively with the Customer Research team to perform in-depth qualitative assessments, including surveys and focus groups, to gain deeper insights into the user base and collect valuable feedback.

Monitor market trends and compile comprehensive industry insights to inform strategic decision-making.

Oversee financial allocations and track performance indicators to ensure efficient resource utilization and alignment with organizational objectives.

Oversee the allocation and administration of the country-specific marketing budget to ensure strategic and efficient use of resources.

Monitor and oversee critical Growth metrics, ensuring relevant data is effectively communicated to all key stakeholders, including the General Manager for Nigeria, the Regional Marketing Director for Africa, and headquarters personnel.

Oversee project execution and manage stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Develop comprehensive project plans, allocate resources efficiently, and monitor progress to meet deadlines and budgets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, resolve issues, and facilitate effective communication among stakeholders. Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and maintain transparency throughout project lifecycles. Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations while fostering long-term partnerships.

Collaborate closely with HQ Growth teams and oversee initiatives spanning all marketing channels.

Drive the successful implementation of cross-functional growth initiatives—such as product launches and feature rollouts—through close collaboration with Local teams (including Commercial, Content, Partner Operations, and Operations) and HQ teams (including Product, Pricing, CRM, Performance Marketing, Brand & Comes).

Identify and assess key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented initiatives.

Prepare comprehensive reports detailing the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and campaigns by coordinating with the analytics team and other corporate or regional departments.

Ensure meticulous sharing of information, updates, and implementation plans with all stakeholders and teams, maintaining an unwavering focus on precision and accuracy.

Develop and nurture strategic business connections with key stakeholders, including top-tier partners, media agencies, media outlets, and social media agencies, to strengthen the organization’s network and enhance collaborative opportunities.

Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, computer science, or business administration, and demonstrate at least five years of progressive experience in project management, operations, or a closely related discipline. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential, alongside the ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Familiarity with industry-standard software, methodologies like Agile or Six Sigma, and compliance with regulatory requirements are also required. Additionally, candidates should exhibit leadership qualities, adaptability to dynamic environments, and a commitment to continuous professional development.

With a minimum of eight years of hands-on experience in Growth and Strategic leadership, candidates should possess a strong background that ideally integrates expertise from Tier 1 Strategy consulting firms, high-growth technology ventures, and large-scale operational environments.
