We are currently recruiting a finance manager to strengthen our team. In this role, you will enhance accounting departments for our clients while demonstrating a proactive mindset. Collaboration within a project team will be essential as you work to deliver the client’s system with precision, ensuring alignment with the client’s specifications.

JOB SUMMARY:

The project accountant will spearhead the integration of financial accounts into an accounting system.

Proficient in accurately documenting a company’s trading activities and seamlessly integrating them into a system to establish an accurate trading position. This includes analyzing key financial statements such as the Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, General Ledger, and Aged Debtors reports, as well as validating the integrity of the entire chart of accounts.

Proficiency in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is essential.

Proven capacity to collaborate effectively with accounting teams while providing strong leadership and direction.

Performs the following key duties and responsibilities:

• Serves as the primary liaison between the organization and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
• Oversees the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Manages financial forecasting, budget preparation, and variance analysis to maintain fiscal responsibility.
• Leads cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Ensures adherence to legal and regulatory requirements while mitigating risks through proactive monitoring and corrective actions.
• Directs the recruitment, training, and performance management of personnel to cultivate a high-performing workforce.
• Evaluates and optimizes technological solutions to enhance productivity and support business growth.
• Reports directly to senior leadership, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to inform executive decision-making.
• Collaborates with department heads to align resources with organizational goals and priorities.
• Maintains comprehensive documentation and records to support audits and regulatory inspections.

Responsible for reconciling multiple company accounts as part of an implementation project.

Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining detailed ledgers for assets, liabilities, income, expenses, and equity, ensuring the delivery of accurate financial information to management for informed decision-making.

Proficiency in overseeing and auditing creditors and debtors ledgers is required.

Track and report on key performance indicators to measure progress against strategic objectives, ensuring data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. Analyze metrics regularly to identify trends, assess performance gaps, and evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives. Provide clear, actionable insights to stakeholders to support informed planning and resource allocation. Collaborate with teams to define relevant KPIs that align with organizational goals and drive measurable outcomes. Ensure timely and accurate reporting while maintaining high standards of data integrity and confidentiality.

The thoroughness, completeness, and precision of documentation are critical to this role. Ensuring that all documentation meets established standards and reflects accurate information is a key responsibility. Attention to detail and adherence to organizational guidelines are essential for maintaining high-quality records.

Responsibilities include generating, reviewing, and validating reports to support informed decision-making processes. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data management are required to meet deadlines and uphold reporting excellence.

Accomplished in leveraging spreadsheet applications for data management, analysis, and reporting, with a proven track record of optimizing workflows through efficient data handling and manipulation. Demonstrates proficiency in creating complex formulas, pivot tables, and visualizations to support decision-making processes.
