Job Summary
The Head of Accounts serves as the overseer of all financial and accounting functions at the designated location, ensuring precision in financial reporting, efficient budget administration, adherence to statutory regulations, and robust internal controls throughout every business unit—including the bakery, restaurant, mart, and filling station.
Oversee core operational duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and performance optimization to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently. Develop and implement comprehensive policies and procedures aimed at enhancing productivity, compliance, and risk management. Foster cross-functional collaboration to streamline workflows, resolve complex challenges, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions as needed. Oversee the entirety of accounting activities conducted at the branch location.
Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with established accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Maintain precise documentation of every financial transaction to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities include managing bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and alignment with financial records.
Ensure that all taxes, pensions, and statutory deductions are remitted punctually and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Establish and uphold robust financial control systems to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational integrity.
Oversee revenue collection processes and conduct thorough investigations into any identified discrepancies.
Provide strategic financial analysis and valuable business insights to assist management in making informed decisions and driving organizational growth.
Oversee the planning and execution of both internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established standards and regulatory requirements. Seeking a highly skilled professional with a proven background in project management, including at least five years of direct experience overseeing multifaceted initiatives from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field, complemented by a PMP or equivalent certification. Demonstrated expertise in risk assessment, budget adherence, and cross-functional team leadership is essential. Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or Jira is required. Strong analytical abilities, exceptional communication skills, and a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope are mandatory.
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required.
A recognized professional credential such as ICAN, ARCA, or an equivalent qualification is essential.
A minimum of five years of professional accounting experience is required, including at least two years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
Proficiency in retail, hospitality, manufacturing, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries is highly beneficial.
