Job Summary

The Head of Accounts oversees all financial and accounting operations at the designated location, ensuring precise financial reporting, efficient budget administration, regulatory compliance, and robust internal controls across the bakery, restaurant, mart, and filling station.

Oversee and execute core duties encompassing project management, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives forward. Ensure alignment with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices while maintaining high standards of operational efficiency. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making. Serve as a liaison between departments, fostering clear communication and resolving conflicts to uphold a cohesive work environment. Additionally, oversee budget adherence, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies to safeguard organizational assets and achieve long-term sustainability.

Oversee the entirety of accounting functions for the branch, ensuring accurate financial reporting and adherence to established protocols.

Compile financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Prepare, track, and oversee departmental and branch budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility and alignment with organizational goals.

Accurate documentation of every financial transaction must be maintained at all times.

Track cash flow dynamics vigilantly and uphold sufficient liquidity levels to sustain seamless operational continuity.

Responsible for conducting thorough bank reconciliations and ensuring the accuracy of account reconciliations.

Guarantee the prompt and accurate submission of all taxes, pension contributions, and mandatory statutory deductions.

Establish and uphold rigorous financial control measures to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Oversee revenue collection processes and conduct thorough examinations of any discrepancies that arise.

Provide management with detailed financial analysis and strategic business insights to facilitate informed decision-making processes.

Coordinate both internal and external audits to ensure comprehensive evaluation and compliance with established standards.

Maintain adherence to established company financial policies and applicable regulatory mandates.

Oversee and guide accounting staff in their professional development and daily responsibilities.

Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, supplemented by a minimum of five years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles. Proficiency in GAAP standards and demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance are essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel proficiency is highly desirable. Candidates must possess exceptional attention to detail and the capacity to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required.

Professional qualifications such as ICAN, ARCA, or their equivalents are required.

A minimum of five years of accounting experience, including at least two years in a leadership or supervisory capacity, is required.

Proficiency in the retail, hospitality, manufacturing, or FMCG industries is beneficial.
