Job Summary
Our client is in search of a meticulous and highly proficient Radiographer to evaluate a diverse array of medical imaging modalities, such as x-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds, and MRIs.
The successful candidate will assist in diagnosing patients by obtaining images of bones, organs, and human tissue.
This position requires strict adherence to safety protocols and established regulations when utilizing radiation equipment to minimize exposure to ionizing radiation, thereby safeguarding both personnel and the environment.
The successful candidate will manage the operation of imaging equipment, ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols, document and relay test outcomes, and gather patient histories through direct interviews.
Oversee a range of critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and performance evaluation to ensure organizational objectives are met. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices that enhance efficiency, compliance, and productivity across all departments. Lead cross-functional teams to foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement while maintaining high standards of accountability and transparency. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze data trends, and present actionable insights to senior leadership to support informed decision-making. Conducting a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including MRI, CT scans, X-rays, and ultrasound examinations.
Prepare a comprehensive report outlining test results and their corresponding diagnoses, then forward it to the patient’s primary physician for review and follow-up.
Gathering comprehensive patient histories involves conducting detailed interviews with patients to document their medical backgrounds, current symptoms, and relevant lifestyle factors.
Ensure radiation safety protocols are maintained in the designated work area by regularly inspecting equipment to identify and address any malfunctions or errors.
Attending all pertinent training sessions for treatment and equipment to ensure ongoing professional development and adherence to current standards.
Observe patients closely throughout and following radiation therapy sessions to confirm appropriate treatment responses and promptly identify any adverse reactions.
Establish precise radiation levels in compliance with established protocols, and secure patient consent before conducting diagnostic imaging to meet legal obligations.
Supervising and overseeing the performance of radiography assistants and student radiographers to ensure adherence to established protocols and standards.
Delivers reports promptly upon request, ensuring timely and accurate completion as needed.
Recording and maintaining patients’ examination results is a critical responsibility for radiographers, who must ensure strict adherence to the Data Protection Act and Patient Confidentiality guidelines. Additionally, they are tasked with securely storing this sensitive information in compliance with regulatory standards.
Produce films and process digital images to generate high-quality radiographs, which are then provided to physicians for analysis and diagnosis.
