Job Summary

The Accountant oversees the accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions, manages bookkeeping duties, performs bank reconciliations, and ensures cost management efficiency.

Equally responsible for ensuring the proficient management of the market complex, they oversee its operations with diligence.

Responsibilities

General bookkeeping responsibilities include meticulously recording and tracking all financial transactions using the company’s designated accounting software to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Perform timely and regular reconciliations with bankers, debtors, and creditors by systematically reviewing account statements to verify their alignment with the company’s financial records.

Compile financial reports by gathering, evaluating, and condensing account data and identifying key financial trends.

Responsibilities include overseeing property assets to ensure strict adherence to established rules and regulations by all occupants.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required.

Candidates should have at least a decade of hands-on experience in accounting.

A qualification in ACA or ALAN, as well as a Master’s degree—such as an MBA in Accounting—is also highly advantageous.

Other Conditions:

Ideal candidates must be mature males currently residing in Ababa.

A candidate must be prepared to attend an in-person interview within one week of application submission.

Accomplished professionals with a track record in accounting or financial management positions are sought for this opportunity.

Proven expertise in financial reporting and audit methodologies is required.

Skill Set:

Capable of devising and executing strategies to reduce expenditures is essential.

Demonstrates strong self-motivation and the capacity to manage tasks effectively without constant oversight.

Business Acumen

Requires hands-on experience with leading accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or specialized industry software.

Proficient in Excel for performing financial analysis and generating reports.

Proficient in evaluating financial data, recognizing key trends, and delivering strategic insights to enhance overall business performance.

Proficient in conveying intricate financial details to stakeholders with clarity, both verbally and in writing.

Ensuring precision and meticulousness in financial reporting is essential to maintain accuracy and reliability in all financial documentation.
