We are looking for a seasoned and well-connected Sales Representative with a proven track record in the poultry sector. The successful applicant will possess established relationships with poultry farmers, farm owners, cooperatives, and agricultural associations, and will be adept at consistently securing sales orders for poultry feed, pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and other essential farm supplies.
This position demands a results-oriented approach, prioritizing customer acquisition, securing recurring monthly orders, and expanding Agrofount’s influence within the poultry farming sector.
Oversee a comprehensive range of critical duties central to the role’s success, including but not limited to strategic planning, team leadership, and operational execution. Develop and implement innovative solutions to address complex challenges while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to foster cohesive workflows and drive continuous improvement. Monitor performance metrics to assess progress, identify areas for enhancement, and implement corrective actions as needed. Serve as a key liaison between senior management and staff, facilitating transparent communication and fostering a culture of accountability. Additionally, ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies to mitigate risks and uphold organizational integrity.
Develop and finalize sales opportunities by engaging with poultry farmers and poultry-related enterprises.
Develop and sustain robust partnerships with commercial poultry farmers as well as smallholder poultry producers to foster collaborative growth and mutual success.
Responsibilities include procuring monthly orders of day-old chicks, feed, medication, vaccines, and other essential farm inputs from customers. This role involves ensuring timely acquisition of these supplies to meet customer demands efficiently.
Proactively identify and integrate new poultry farms into the Profound platform through a streamlined onboarding process.
Facilitate on-site farm inspections, present product showcases, and engage in client consultations to ensure comprehensive understanding and satisfaction.
Collaborate efficiently with suppliers and internal stakeholders to guarantee orders are fulfilled in a timely manner.
Monitor sales performance, gather customer insights, and collect market intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
Strive to surpass monthly sales and revenue objectives consistently, ensuring targets are not only met but exceeded.
Establish and nurture high-impact collaborations with poultry associations, agricultural cooperatives, and organized farm groups.
Requirements
Requires a minimum of three years of professional experience in sales within the poultry sector, agricultural markets, or livestock-related business development roles.
Maintains extensive connections with poultry farmers and farm operators throughout the industry.
Delivers consistent results by surpassing established sales quotas and achieving objectives with measurable success.
Possesses comprehensive knowledge of poultry production systems, nutritional needs, health management products, and operational procedures on farms.
Proven ability to communicate effectively, negotiate successfully, and cultivate strong professional relationships.
Demonstrates self-motivation while requiring regular travel to farms and agricultural communities.
Preferred experience includes selling feed, veterinary products, vaccines, farm equipment, or other agricultural inputs.
