Role Description
A full-time Mathematics Teacher position is available at our Ibadan-based facility, requiring on-site attendance.
The Mathematics Teacher will design and implement dynamic mathematics lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and educational goals. This role involves creating structured lesson plans, instructing students across various mathematical disciplines, developing and evaluating assignments and assessments, and ensuring prompt, constructive feedback is provided to both learners and their families.
This position requires tailoring instructional methods to address varied learning requirements, meticulously documenting students’ advancement, and participating in curriculum assessment and refinement.
The educator will engage in staff meetings, attend professional development sessions, and participate in school events, all while fostering a positive, secure, and inclusive classroom and school environment.
Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is required, along with strong problem-solving skills and experience with agile methodologies. The ideal applicant should demonstrate a track record of delivering high-quality software solutions, collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior developers. Exceptional communication abilities and a passion for continuous learning are also essential.
Demonstrates deep expertise in Mathematics and Mathematics Education while fostering an enthusiasm for equipping learners with robust problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
Accomplished in crafting structured lesson plans and developing curriculum frameworks, with expertise in designing dynamic educational experiences, formative and summative assessments, and supplementary learning materials that align with institutional benchmarks.
A qualified teacher status is required, accompanied by a valid teaching certification and demonstrated classroom experience. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in international or British curriculum schools.
A bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related discipline is required, with a teaching qualification or PGCE (or equivalent) considered beneficial.
Experience in delivering instruction aligned with the English National Curriculum—or comparable educational standards—and proficiency in implementing blended or interdisciplinary learning methodologies.
Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills are required, along with a dedication to safeguarding students and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Proficient in utilizing essential educational technology tools for effective lesson delivery, student assessment, and seamless communication with learners and their families.
