Job Summary

The Warehouse Manager oversees all inventory and warehouse operations, maintaining precise inventory records, adhering to internal control policies, and leading warehouse staff with efficiency.

This position encompasses the creation and implementation of inventory control strategies, the management of stock reconciliation processes, the compilation of detailed inventory reports, and the delivery of data-driven insights to enhance financial and operational decision-making.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of strategic and operational duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices. Develop, implement, and monitor initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance. Serve as a key liaison between departments to foster collaboration and streamline communication channels. Lead cross-functional teams to drive project success and achieve predetermined milestones. Manage resources, budgets, and timelines with meticulous attention to detail to optimize outcomes. Identify and mitigate risks, while proactively recommending solutions to address challenges. Monitor progress through performance metrics and provide actionable insights to senior leadership. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards across all operations.

Inventory Control & Financial Record Accuracy: Maintain precise inventory records and ensure financial data accuracy to support efficient operations and informed decision-making. Verify stock levels, track discrepancies, and reconcile inventory counts with financial records. Analyze inventory turnover, identify trends, and recommend adjustments to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs. Prepare financial reports, audit documentation, and compliance records to meet regulatory standards and internal policies. Collaborate with procurement, accounting, and warehouse teams to enhance process efficiency and mitigate financial risks.

Ensure the seamless execution of all inbound logistics, inventory storage, order picking, packaging, shipment dispatch, and return processing activities in accordance with established company policies and internal control protocols.

Enforce the FEFO (First Expired, First Out) and FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory methodologies while conducting cycle counts to uphold the precision of inventory valuation.

Oversee bi-weekly, monthly, and unscheduled physical inventory counts to maintain precise tracking of stock levels and facilitate prompt reporting of inventory balances.

Oversee the daily reconciliation of cycle counts and conduct comprehensive stock takes, investigating any variances identified and reporting discrepancies to the operation manager.

Documentation and Transaction Processing: Accurately maintaining records, ensuring all transactions are logged, verified, and processed in accordance with established policies and procedures to uphold compliance and operational efficiency. This includes preparing, reviewing, and filing necessary documentation while verifying data accuracy to support financial and operational integrity.

Oversee the preparation of Goods Received Notes (GRNs), document any discrepancies, and execute inventory adjustments in strict accordance with established approval protocols.

Ensure the meticulous upkeep of all essential logs, including access, goods receipt, dispatch, maintenance, and cycle count records, to facilitate comprehensive audit trails.

Maintain accurate records of damaged, expired, and slow-moving inventory to facilitate financial provisioning.

Enhance organizational efficiency and mitigate risk through robust internal controls and strategic process improvements. Identify inefficiencies within existing workflows, develop tailored solutions to streamline operations, and implement controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess control gaps, recommend enhancements, and monitor corrective actions to drive continuous operational excellence.

Oversee and enhance warehouse operations and workflows to elevate inventory precision and streamline overall efficiency.

Verify the precision of inventory records maintained within the ERP system and recommend enhancements to existing workflows.

Demonstrate unwavering integrity and exceptional capacity to perform effectively under pressure, particularly during critical periods such as month-end and year-end stock counts.

Collaborate with operations, sales, accounting, and other teams to help the company meet its financial objectives through seamless coordination.

Detail-oriented and highly organized, this role requires exceptional multitasking skills to effectively oversee concurrent responsibilities, including month-end stock reconciliations and reporting cycles.

Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions regarding inventory adjustments, write-offs, and process modifications.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required. Minimum of five years of professional experience in software development, with at least three years in a leadership or mentorship role. Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including but not limited to Java, Python, or C++. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems such as Git. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

A recognized Nigerian or international university must confer a bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.

Professional certification in supply chain or inventory management is essential, with credentials such as:

Seeking candidates with a minimum of three to five years of progressive experience in warehouse or inventory management roles, including at least two years in a supervisory or managerial position within Nigeria.

Highly desirable experience includes roles within luxury retail or warehousing for high-value goods, particularly in the cosmetics sector.

Accomplished expertise in overseeing inventory control operations, executing cycle counting methodologies, and conducting thorough stock reconciliation procedures.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level is required, including expertise in pivot tables, Lookups, and inventory analysis.

Proficient in navigating Nigerian regulatory frameworks relevant to warehousing operations, including adherence to guidelines set by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) for cosmetics and perfumes, as well as customs documentation protocols for imported luxury goods.

Proficient in Nigerian tax regulations, including those governing inventory write-offs, VAT on stock, and statutory audit obligations.

Exceptional integrity and proficiency in operating under pressure are essential.
