Job Summary
The Food Technologist plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of cashew product manufacturing by adhering to stringent food safety protocols and regulatory mandates. This position oversees the entirety of production and packaging operations, formulates product specifications, upholds rigorous quality benchmarks, and meticulously records all manufacturing activities to ensure full compliance and traceability.
Oversee a range of critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and team leadership to drive organizational success. Develop and implement comprehensive policies, procedures, and performance metrics to ensure alignment with company objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, enhance productivity, and foster a culture of innovation and accountability. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management to support informed decision-making. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, ethical standards, and internal governance frameworks while mitigating risks and resolving operational challenges.
Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), and the organization’s established quality standards.
Manage cashew production and packaging processes to uphold efficiency, consistency, and product quality standards.
Develop and oversee ingredient formulations for a range of product variants, ensuring consistency and adherence to specifications. Track and evaluate formulation performance to maintain quality standards and meet production requirements.
Perform inspections to ensure the quality of raw materials, in-process items, and completed products meets established standards.
Ensure meticulous maintenance of production records, quality assurance logs, and batch documentation with accuracy and precision.
Evaluate existing workflows to pinpoint inefficiencies and devise strategic enhancements that drive operational efficiency while minimizing resource expenditure.
Facilitate audits, inspections, and ongoing enhancement efforts to ensure operational excellence and compliance with established standards.
Provide instruction to production personnel on protocols related to food safety and quality standards.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a closely related discipline is required.
A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, or food processing is required.
Proficiency in food safety frameworks including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards is required.
Demonstrates exceptional precision, analytical capabilities, and meticulous documentation practices.
