JOB SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Officer provides assistance to the Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor by ensuring accurate accounting of warehouse inventory and maintaining proper storage conditions. This role involves thorough documentation and transparent reporting of all warehouse transactions, strictly adhering to the International Medical Corps Warehouse Manual, donor specifications, and relevant local regulations, as applicable.

The Warehouse Officer is part of the warehouse support team and reports directly to the Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or another designated supervisor, depending on the current team structure.

To successfully fulfill the duties of this position, an individual must possess the ability to execute each essential function, whether with or without reasonable accommodation.

Warehouse Officer provides assistance to the supervisor by ensuring the efficient execution of warehouse operations. This role includes overseeing inventory management, coordinating logistics, and maintaining workplace safety standards. Overseeing the proper organization and storage of all commodities within designated storage facilities or warehouses, while maintaining precise inventory records and ensuring items remain in optimal condition throughout their storage period.

Maintaining optimal storage conditions for all commodities, such as regulating temperature and humidity levels, as well as segregating hazardous materials and items unsuitable for consumption (e.g., damaged or expired goods), is essential.

Monitor tracking of shelf life for stored items and, when specified by program guidelines, evaluate whether stock levels meet established minimum and maximum thresholds for each item, issuing alerts to designated stock owners as necessary.

Your responsibilities include documenting any losses or damages to commodities, adjusting processing stock records, and notifying stock owners of any discrepancies that require further investigation.

Maintaining accurate, transparent, and dependable stock records for all commodities transactions, categorized by item and project, is essential. This includes the standardization of documentation, reporting, and the control system. Consistent preparation and dissemination of Stock Report updates are required.
