Responsibilities include the installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of LAN, WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and VPNs to ensure optimal performance and security.
Maintain reliable network connectivity for the head office, branch locations, data center, and remote users.
Analyze network performance metrics, including uptime, bandwidth utilization, and service availability, to ensure optimal operation and reliability.
Diagnose and rectify network-related issues while delivering expert technical assistance to users.
Provide technical support for servers, backup systems, email infrastructure, internet services, and core banking connectivity networks.
Enhance network security by deploying robust controls, managing access permissions, applying critical patches, and addressing vulnerabilities promptly to mitigate risks and maintain system integrity.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of network assets, including records of IP addresses, software licenses, and configuration backups.
Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with internet service providers, vendors, and IT service partners to ensure seamless operational alignment and service delivery.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in fields such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
Candidates holding certifications like CCNA, CCNP, Compton Network+, Security+, Fortinet, Azure, AWS, or ITIL will receive preferential consideration.
Requires at least five years of hands-on experience in network administration, infrastructure support, or IT operations.
Proficiency in banking, fintech, financial services, or a regulated setting would be considered a valuable asset.
Proficient in routing, switching, firewall management, VPN configuration, network monitoring, cybersecurity principles, and backup system administration.
