Reporting to and working closely with the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Assistant/Driver will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the MDM premises and operating MDM vehicles.

The incumbent will oversee the upkeep and organization of MDM facilities by performing a range of general maintenance tasks, including equipment servicing, outdoor area maintenance, identifying repair requirements, and addressing maintenance requests across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and furniture systems. Additionally, they will operate MDM vehicles in strict adherence to established organizational protocols.

The successful candidate must demonstrate proficiency in technical tasks and exceptional problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational skills, along with expertise in general repairs and safe driving practices, are essential requirements. Additionally, meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to maintain high levels of physical endurance are critical for this role.

Responsible for overseeing and maintaining accurate stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory control to meet operational demands. Tracks inventory movements, reconciles discrepancies, and updates records promptly to reflect real-time availability. Collaborates with procurement teams to forecast demand, minimize excess stock, and prevent shortages. Analyzes inventory data to identify trends, optimize storage solutions, and enhance efficiency in stock distribution. Ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory standards while supporting seamless supply chain operations.

Verify, document, and store received goods under the direction of the Logistics Manager.

Consistently monitor inventory levels through physical counts to ensure accurate stock tracking.

Upon receipt of an order, the individual must verify the quantity of packages, inspect both the packaging and its contents, and promptly notify the Logistics Manager of any discrepancies, such as missing or damaged goods.

Upon receiving inventory, promptly enter the details into the stock cards, ensuring the receipt document’s reference number is included, and then store the goods as directed by the Logistics Manager.

Regularly maintain sufficient stock levels of high-demand products within the store to meet customer needs.

Ensure all items are systematically arranged, securely stored, clearly labeled, and effortlessly retrievable while maintaining optimal cleanliness and stringent security measures.

Ensuring the safe and secure transport of passengers, materials, and equipment through responsible vehicle operation is a key responsibility of this role.

We are seeking an experienced professional to ensure compliance with MDM driving regulations, overseeing adherence to established guidelines and protocols. The role involves monitoring driver behavior, conducting regular assessments, and implementing corrective measures as necessary to maintain safety and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include reviewing driving records, providing training as needed, and collaborating with management to address any identified issues. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of MDM driving regulations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to enforce policies effectively.

MDM equipment and other road users, including drivers and pedestrians, are protected alongside passengers, as the driver modifies his/her behavior and driving style to ensure their collective safety.

Always operate your vehicle in strict adherence to the Nigerian Highway Code, ensuring full compliance with all speed limits and traffic regulations at all times.

To ensure compliance with safety regulations, drivers must consistently wear seat belts while operating vehicles and mandate that all passengers do the same.

A valid driver’s license must be maintained at all times and readily available for presentation during any required inspections.

All essential documents must be verified for validity and renewed prior to their expiration dates, including annual road safety inspections and registration updates for primary drivers with the rental company.

The vehicle requires regular upkeep to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are consistently met. This includes conducting routine inspections, addressing any mechanical issues promptly, performing necessary repairs, and maintaining detailed records of all service activities. Adherence to manufacturer guidelines and industry regulations is mandatory to uphold reliability and extend the vehicle’s operational lifespan.

Regularly inspecting the vehicle’s engine, oil level, brake fluid, tire pressure, and windshield fluid, among other critical components, is essential to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Notify the immediate supervisor promptly upon encountering any technical issues or maintenance requirements.

After validating directives from the direct supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for either arranging or executing any required maintenance tasks as needed.

The vehicle must be maintained in pristine condition, both internally and externally, at all times.

Ensuring that all essential equipment and materials are loaded in the vehicle and maintained in optimal condition—including tools, a spare wheel, an airlift, belts, ropes, and other required items.
