Job Summary:
We seek a highly skilled and seasoned Store and Inventory Officer to oversee the inventory management and storage operations for our construction company’s building materials.
The perfect candidate should demonstrate extensive expertise in diverse building materials, outstanding organizational abilities, and a keen aptitude for maintaining precise records while optimizing stock levels.
Oversee a diverse range of critical tasks, including strategic planning, operational execution, and performance evaluation to ensure organizational objectives are met. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency, productivity, and compliance with industry standards. Lead cross-functional teams by fostering collaboration, assigning clear roles, and monitoring progress to achieve project milestones. Analyze data, identify trends, and present actionable insights to senior leadership to support informed decision-making. Ensure adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality benchmarks while mitigating risks and resolving operational challenges. Serve as a liaison between departments, stakeholders, and external partners to facilitate seamless communication and alignment.
Responsible for managing the intake, storage, and allocation of construction materials and supplies to ensure efficient inventory control and timely distribution.
Responsible for ensuring inventory records are maintained with precision by monitoring stock levels and facilitating the prompt replenishment of materials as needed.
Perform routine inventory audits to ensure precision and detect any inconsistencies.
Leverage comprehensive expertise in building materials to provide guidance on stock requirements and support the procurement team in making well-informed purchasing choices.
Regularly monitor emerging industry trends and technological advancements in building materials to ensure accurate and strategic inventory management decisions.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to oversee order processing and shipment logistics, verifying that materials are delivered punctually.
Draft purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to manage stock levels and coordinate reordering activities.
Optimize storage areas and maintain their organization to maximize efficiency and ensure seamless accessibility of materials.
Design and deploy efficient storage systems to maintain the integrity of materials and minimize the risk of damage.
Verify that all storage and handling procedures adhere strictly to health and safety standards to mitigate risks and maintain compliance.
Provide instruction to employees regarding proper protocols for managing diverse substances safely.
Compiles detailed reports summarizing current inventory levels, material consumption patterns, and anticipated future supply needs to support strategic decision-making.
Responsible for ensuring precise and thorough documentation of all inventory transactions and material usage.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software development, with a strong focus on Python.
• Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with web frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React or Angular.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with databases, including SQL and NoSQL, as well as API development and integration.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps practices is a plus.
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
A bachelor’s degree in building technology, education, or a closely related discipline is required.
