Job Summary

A proactive and technically proficient IT Support Officer is required to deliver first-line technical assistance while maintaining the seamless functioning of the organization’s IT infrastructure.

The successful candidate will troubleshoot both hardware and software problems, perform ongoing maintenance on computer systems, provide technical assistance to end-users, and guarantee the efficient operation of IT resources.

Oversee and execute key operational tasks to drive organizational success, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and fostering efficiency across departments. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance productivity and accountability. Collaborate with senior leadership to analyze business challenges, identify growth opportunities, and implement data-driven solutions. Lead cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, optimize resource allocation, and achieve measurable outcomes. Monitor industry trends, assess competitive landscapes, and recommend innovative strategies to maintain a market-leading position. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and organizational policies while mitigating risks. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through training, mentorship, and performance evaluations. Serve as a primary liaison between executive leadership, employees, and external stakeholders to facilitate transparent communication and alignment.

Deliver technical assistance to staff by identifying and addressing hardware, software, network, and system-related challenges.

Install, configure, and maintain a variety of IT equipment, including desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other related devices, to ensure optimal functionality and performance.

Investigate and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.

Oversee the operation and upkeep of computer systems, networks, and IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Conduct regular system updates, execute comprehensive backups, and carry out preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.

Establish and oversee user accounts, email accounts, and access permissions with precision and efficiency.

When required, elevate intricate technical challenges to senior IT personnel or external vendors for resolution.

Accurately document all support requests, their resolutions, and IT asset details in comprehensive records.

Provide support in the execution of IT policies, procedures, and security standards.

Facilitate the implementation of innovative hardware, software, and technological solutions to enhance operational efficiency and system capabilities.

Maintain adherence to data security protocols and information technology best practices.

Deliver comprehensive training and support to users, ensuring they can efficiently utilize IT systems and applications.

Candidates must meet the following qualifications to be considered for this role, including a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. Proficiency in [specific software/tools] and strong analytical skills are essential. Expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues within LAN/WAN infrastructures, including routers, switches, and internet connectivity, is required.

Exceptional aptitude for problem-solving and analytical reasoning is required.

Demonstrates outstanding skills in verbal and written communication, fostering strong professional relationships and facilitating effective collaboration.

Must demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities and deliver results with minimal oversight.

Professional certifications like Compton A+, Network+, ITIL, or equivalent credentials offer valuable additional qualifications.
