Job Summary

The Head of Accounts oversees all financial and accounting operations for the designated location, ensuring precise financial reporting, efficient budget administration, adherence to statutory requirements, and robust internal controls across every business unit—including the bakery, restaurant, mart, and filling station.

Oversee and execute critical operational duties to ensure seamless business processes, including managing cross-functional teams, optimizing workflows, and maintaining high standards of efficiency. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive organizational growth, enhance productivity, and foster innovation. Lead project planning, monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes to ensure alignment with company objectives and timelines. Collaborate with senior leadership to align departmental goals with broader company strategies, ensuring cohesive and sustainable development. Serve as a primary point of contact for key stakeholders, addressing concerns, providing updates, and facilitating transparent communication. Analyze performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend data-driven improvements to enhance operational effectiveness and decision-making.

Oversee revenue collection activities and conduct thorough examinations of any inconsistencies detected.

Assist leadership in evaluating financial data and providing strategic business recommendations to enhance decision-making processes.

Oversee the planning and execution of both internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.

Ensure adherence to established financial policies and compliance with all relevant regulatory mandates.

Oversee and guide accounting staff members in their professional development and daily tasks.

Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, supplemented by a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. The ideal applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience leading projects or teams is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with compliance regulations and best practices within the industry is required.

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely aligned field is required.

ICAN, ARCA, or an equivalent professional certification is required.

Requires a minimum of five years of accounting experience, including at least two years in a leadership capacity.

Proficiency in retail, hospitality, manufacturing, or FMCG industries is highly beneficial.
