The GBV caseworker operates under the direct supervision of the Protection Supervisor, tasked with designing, executing, and delivering high-quality case management services to survivors of gender-based violence.
The incumbent will collaborate with a team of GBV volunteers, community organizations, and healthcare professionals to align with approved work plans, adhere to donor guidelines, and uphold PUB’s policies.
The role will involve delivering essential, survivor-focused case management services to Gender-Based Violence survivors and those at heightened risk of GBV.
Oversee and execute a range of duties and assignments with precision and accountability to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently and effectively. Offer compassionate psycho-social assistance and immediate psychological first aid to individuals who have experienced trauma, ensuring their emotional well-being and aiding in their recovery process.
Deliver compassionate, survivor-focused case management services on a daily basis to Gender-Based Violence survivors and those at heightened risk, ensuring their needs remain central to all interventions.
Evaluate survivors’ requirements, devise a strategic plan, execute the plan, monitor progress, and conclude the case in strict accordance with the GBV case management standard operating procedures and case management guidelines.
Cases are documented utilizing the Intake and Assessment form to ensure accurate and comprehensive record-keeping.
Conduct follow-up communications with survivors and relevant partners to verify the effective execution of established plans.
Ensure adherence to established case management protocols, with referrals and documentation processed promptly and accurately.
As necessary, participate in scheduled Gender-Based Violence (GBV) meetings.
Consistently revise and manage documentation, ensuring the Database remains current for all recorded cases, action plans, and subsequent follow-up visits through the BRIMS platform.
Cultivate and sustain productive partnerships with key case management stakeholders in the field, such as governmental bodies, United Nations entities, nongovernmental organizations, and other pertinent stakeholders.
Offer referrals for survivors of gender-based violence to essential services, such as child protection, sexual and reproductive health care, and specialized mental health support, while providing accompaniment when necessary and following up to confirm the receipt of appropriate services.
Maintains and upholds survivor-centered guiding principles, ensuring they are applied consistently during interactions with survivors, particularly within safe environments designated for women and girls.
Convene periodic case conference meetings to collaboratively address complex cases, guaranteeing survivors receive high-quality, dignified services.
Deliver training and capacity-building initiatives for Protection Volunteers, covering essential protection themes such as child protection, gender-based violence, protection mainstreaming, and the confidentiality of protection data.
Responsibilities include maintaining the secure storage, management, and safeguarding of sensitive protected information in strict accordance with international confidentiality and privacy standards.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly activity reports to the supervisor on a consistent basis.
Any challenges or obstacles encountered during the execution of tasks must be promptly communicated to the direct supervisor.
On any given day and at any location required, the designated representative is expected to act as the authorized delegate of PUB during the performance of their duties.
Provide support in facilitating programs and initiatives within the women’s and girls’ safe space, ensuring a secure and empowering environment for all participants.

The Case Management Officer will oversee the operations of the safe space dedicated to women and girls, ensuring a secure and supportive environment. This role will report directly to the Protection Supervisor, who will provide ongoing guidance and assistance to facilitate effective case management and service delivery.
