Oversee and execute a diverse range of responsibilities to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness within the organization. Provide strategic direction and leadership to achieve departmental and company-wide objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, optimize performance, and drive continuous improvement. Monitor key performance indicators and report on progress to senior management, identifying areas for enhancement and innovation. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal standards. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development among team members. Manage budgets, allocate resources, and prioritize initiatives to maximize return on investment and support long-term growth. Serve as a liaison between departments, stakeholders, and external partners to facilitate seamless communication and alignment of goals.

Handles the on-site setup of customer equipment, which encompasses rack assembly, cable management, and ensuring proper bonding and grounding connections.

Collaborate with various departments and the Manager of OSP Construction to streamline fiber-related initiatives and ensure cohesive project execution.

Execute precise ring cuts on active fiber networks while ensuring uninterrupted service continuity for existing customers.

Conduct fiber optic tests using Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (Others), light sources, and power meters.

Remove, join, secure grounding connections, and evaluate fiber optic equipment according to established division benchmarks.

Prepare comprehensive documentation of equipment locations, along with precise splicing and termination records for the fiber optic database.

Provide support to the Construction and Engineering departments in the acceptance and activation of the fiber network.

Install fiber optic equipment and patch panels, ensuring accurate and efficient setup.

Monitor fiber and related equipment to identify issues, promptly communicate findings, and implement corrective measures to resolve any disruptions in service or performance.

Install demarcation enclosures and other telecom-related equipment in compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Proficient in contemporary fiber splicing methodologies and practices.

Experienced professionals will utilize specialized tools such as Others, power meters, traffic identifiers, digital multimeters, cleavers, strippers, buffer tube splitters, cable ring tools, hand tools, toners, duct Rodgers, ladders, and bucket trucks to complete assignments efficiently and accurately.

Demonstrates the capacity to operate independently with minimal oversight while leveraging technical proficiency to analyze challenges and determine optimal solutions.

Perform duties across multiple schedules, encompassing both standard operations and on-call responsibilities as required.

Required to perform night shifts and additional hours as necessary.

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Additionally, possession of professional certifications or licenses pertinent to the role may be necessary. Candidates should have completed formal training programs or coursework that aligns with the position’s demands. Prior academic achievements that demonstrate expertise or specialization in the field are highly valued.

A Bachelor of Science degree or Higher National Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field is required.

A self-driven problem solver with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in team settings.

A minimum of three years of hands-on technical experience within the telecommunications sector or a similar network operations setting is required.

Proficient in configuring, managing, and resolving issues related to Cisco switching and routing technologies.

Proficient in the operation and functionality of telecommunication equipment is essential.

Seasoned professionals with a proven track record in working with telecommunication equipment from multiple vendors are encouraged to apply. Candidates should possess practical experience in integrating, managing, or maintaining systems supplied by different manufacturers within the telecom sector. Knowledge of diverse vendor-specific protocols, configurations, and operational frameworks is essential for success in this role.
