About the Role

We are actively recruiting a qualified and safety-focused Grove Crane Operator to strengthen our team in Papa. The ideal candidate will ensure the secure and effective operation of Grove mobile cranes, facilitating the lifting, transportation, and placement of heavy materials and equipment in full compliance with all safety protocols and operational guidelines.

Oversee and manage a comprehensive range of critical duties, including the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring seamless operations, and fostering team collaboration to achieve organizational objectives. Lead and direct cross-functional teams, providing clear guidance and support to enhance productivity and efficiency. Monitor performance metrics and project milestones, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed. Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with broader company strategies, ensuring cohesive execution. Additionally, maintain rigorous compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Ensure the safe and efficient operation of Grove mobile cranes while strictly adhering to company policies and industry regulations.

Conduct thorough pre-operation inspections and perform routine maintenance checks on crane equipment.

Responsible for lifting, transporting, and accurately positioning heavy loads in accordance with provided instructions.

Maintain adherence to all safety protocols, load charts, and lifting plans to uphold operational standards.

Collaborate effectively with riggers, supervisors, and on-site personnel to ensure seamless coordination during lifting operations.

Report any defects, maintenance needs, or safety concerns related to equipment without delay.

Accurately document all crane operations and inspection activities in detailed records.

Maintain and sustain the proper upkeep and cleanliness of all equipment assigned to your responsibility.

The ideal candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of five years of professional experience in a similar role. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data management software are essential. Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, are required to collaborate effectively across teams. Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards is a must. Additionally, the position demands organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum of a Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent qualification.

A valid certification or license specifically for crane operation is required.

Requires 3 to 5 years of demonstrated hands-on experience with Grove mobile cranes.

Proficient in lifting operations, load calculations, and crane safety protocols, with a solid grasp of industry best practices.

Professional experience in industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, construction, or steel production settings is required.

Proven ability to communicate effectively and collaborate seamlessly within diverse teams to achieve shared objectives.

Under pressure, one must demonstrate resilience while upholding stringent safety protocols without compromise. This role demands the capacity to perform effectively amid challenges, ensuring that all operations adhere to rigorous safety guidelines at all times.

Preferred Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, supplemented by at least two years of hands-on experience in software development or a comparable technical role. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, along with a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms. Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset are highly valued, as is prior exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. Additionally, candidates should possess excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts effectively to cross-functional teams.

Proven expertise in the management and processing of steel products, heavy machinery, and industrial materials.

Additional qualifications in lifting operations, rigging, or health, safety, and environment (HSE) would be highly beneficial.
