Job Summary
The Head of Accounts oversees all financial and accounting operations for the designated location, ensuring precise financial reporting, efficient budget administration, adherence to statutory requirements, and robust internal controls across every business unit—including the bakery, restaurant, mart, and filling station.
Oversee and manage key operational duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and standards. Implement and maintain processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality across assigned functions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project milestones and achieve targeted outcomes. Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices to mitigate risks and uphold accountability. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting innovation, training initiatives, and process optimization.
Oversee the entirety of accounting operations at the branch location.
Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with established accounting standards and organizational requirements.
Prepare departmental and branch budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and financial oversight, while continuously reviewing and adjusting allocations to maintain fiscal responsibility.
Ensure all financial transactions are recorded with precision and accuracy.
Monitor cash flow meticulously to maintain optimal liquidity levels essential for seamless operational continuity.
Responsibilities include managing and reviewing bank reconciliations as well as account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and alignment with financial records.
Facilitate the prompt and accurate processing of tax payments, pension contributions, and mandatory statutory deductions.
Establish and uphold robust financial governance frameworks to ensure compliance and accuracy in all financial operations.
Oversee revenue collection processes and conduct thorough reviews to identify and resolve any discrepancies.

Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, complemented by at least five years of hands-on experience in project management or a similar role. Proficiency in industry-standard software tools, such as AutoCAD, Refit, or Microsoft Project, is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. The ideal applicant will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and the capacity to lead cross-functional teams effectively. Knowledge of regulatory compliance and sustainable design practices is highly advantageous.
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required.
Professional qualifications such as ICAN, ARCA, or their equivalents are required.
A minimum of five years of accounting experience is required, including at least two years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
Proficiency in retail, hospitality, manufacturing, or FMCG sectors offers a valuable edge.
