Primary purpose:

Operational support is provided to the hotel’s internal control and compliance program through the execution of routine control tests, documentation of exceptions, and assistance with investigations. Timely closure of remediation actions is ensured to safeguard hotel assets and maintain its reputation.

Oversee and implement critical operational duties, ensuring adherence to established protocols and organizational objectives. Develop and refine processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality across assigned functions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies, resolve challenges, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data, and report findings to stakeholders to support informed decision-making. Lead and mentor team members, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional growth.

Daily oversight involves conducting cash counts, performing spot checks on POS reconciliations, reviewing night audit variances, and verifying petty cash balances across all outlets.

Thoroughly examine guest folios, credit card settlements, supplier invoices, and payroll entries to verify accuracy and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.

Inventory verification: Contribute to periodic cycle counts across Food & Beverage, minibar, and housekeeping supply stores; track inventory discrepancies and facilitate initiatives aimed at mitigating losses.

Verify purchase requisitions, approval workflows, and vendor records to ensure adherence to established procurement policies and to mitigate the risk of unauthorized expenditures.

Compliance monitoring responsibilities include managing checklists to ensure adherence to statutory, brand, and corporate standards, as well as generating weekly control reports and promptly escalating any identified exceptions.

Provide assistance in fraud or discrepancy investigations and ensure thorough tracking of corrective measures, followed by validation of their completion.

Deliver foundational control awareness training sessions and support the implementation of newly revised policies.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are also necessary. Familiarity with agile methodologies, version control systems, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is preferred. Excellent communication skills are required to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, or a closely related field is required for consideration.

Seeking candidates with 1 to 3 years of professional experience in hotel operations, internal audit, or finance, preferably with practical familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) or Point of Sale (POS) platforms such as Opera.

Required competencies include meticulous attention to detail, a foundational forensic approach, proficiency in Excel, the ability to produce clear written reports, and effective communication with stakeholders.

The position requires onsite presence with a schedule that includes rotating shifts, encompassing weekends and public holidays, to ensure continuous outlet operations and adherence to audit periods.
