Job Summary:

The State Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the comprehensive oversight of all medical operations within AHF-Nigeria supported facilities across the designated state in Nigeria, including all comprehensive sites and outposts within the region. This role involves ensuring the expansion of healthcare services throughout the state while maintaining the delivery of high-quality, standardized care to all patients.

Oversee and execute key duties and responsibilities essential to the role, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. Perform tasks integral to daily functions, including but not limited to strategic planning, project management, and cross-departmental collaboration. Address and resolve challenges proactively to maintain productivity and efficiency, while adhering to established policies and procedures. Deliver measurable results through structured approaches, fostering continuous improvement and innovation within the team. Maintain thorough documentation and reporting to track progress and ensure accountability at all levels.

Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities and effective management skills.

As the manager, this role is responsible for directing medical and AHF operations throughout the state while collaborating closely with the Country Program Manager to ensure the seamless and high-quality delivery of clinical services across the region.

The individual will spearhead the statewide expansion of the AHF Program.

Deliver technical assistance to the Prevention and Treatment program while maintaining robust patient linkage and service integration processes to effectively connect outreach initiatives with treatment and care services.

Participates in pivotal meetings with technical partners and delivers insightful feedback to senior leadership via the Country Program Manager.

Ensures the execution of Continuing Medical Education sessions across all locations and actively contributes to their facilitation.

Conducts evaluations of staff requirements and facilitates the onboarding process for new employees.

The individual collaborates in establishing performance metrics and conducting staff evaluations, while also managing disciplinary actions and resolving employee grievances within their team.

Conduct comprehensive clinical duties encompassing patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning while ensuring adherence to established medical protocols and ethical standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in a dynamic clinical environment. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient encounters, treatment progress, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory requirements. Participate in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in medical practice and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the organization.

Deliver consistent, high-quality clinical services across all AHF-supported sites within the designated region.

Prepare detailed supervision reports at regular intervals, ensuring strict compliance with the assessment instruments prescribed by AHF.

Facilitates the adoption of standardized operating procedures across all operations to uphold rigorous good clinical practice standards, while ensuring the establishment of fully functional Quality Improvement teams at each site.

Oversee and execute quality management initiatives while establishing and monitoring quality benchmarks. Facilitate quality assurance and quality improvement sessions to drive continuous enhancement.

Enhance the delivery and quality of TB/HIV, PMTCT, and ART services by implementing integrated service delivery models within the state program.

Ensures that laboratory services operate at peak efficiency, overseeing the seamless functioning of sample referral networks across regional areas.

Offer on-site technical guidance and mentorship to field personnel while overseeing the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of the project.

Ensures efficient patient flow across all locations, with particular focus on high-volume facilities, while coordinating time-motion studies to track performance metrics.

Responsible for ensuring the prompt collection, organization, and dissemination of both routine and specialized data to inform strategic decisions at the site, regional, and country program levels.

Analyze and detect initial indicators of resistance, along with developing effective intervention strategies to address potential challenges proactively.

Stay abreast of evolving trends, best practices, and evidence-based guidelines in the clinical management of HIV/AIDS and associated comorbidities.

Collaborate in establishing and tracking annual objectives to guarantee their successful attainment across all regional locations.

Supervises and oversees the work of employees, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to established standards, while providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to foster professional growth and maintain productivity levels.

Delivers hands-on leadership and coaching to physicians, nurses, laboratory specialists, and pharmacists across regional healthcare facilities, fostering ongoing professional development and advancement.

Ensure the precise and punctual preparation and submission of monthly drug inventory reports, working collaboratively with the Program pharmacist.

Collaborate closely with program pharmacists to uphold adherence to established pharmacy standards and practices.

Through the identification and advancement of operational research initiatives at the local level, this role will foster the development of staff competencies in presenting cases and crafting scientific papers.

Attend and actively engage in AHF Meetings and Committees as scheduled.

Efficiently conduct and oversee strategic management meetings to ensure productive discussions, informed decision-making, and clear action plans. Facilitate effective communication among leadership teams, aligning goals with organizational objectives while monitoring progress and outcomes. Prepare and distribute detailed agendas, key metrics, and relevant documentation in advance to promote engagement and accountability. Collaborate closely with senior executives to identify critical priorities, resolve challenges, and drive initiatives forward. Maintain meticulous records of discussions, decisions, and follow-up tasks to track accountability and ensure timely execution.

We facilitate collaborative discussions with key stakeholders and partners to align on technical strategies and drive joint initiatives forward. These meetings ensure clear communication, foster alignment on technical objectives, and enable the resolution of any cross-functional challenges. Additionally, we serve as a liaison between technical teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and progress on shared goals.

The department will convene a mandatory general staff meeting to ensure alignment on key initiatives, address operational updates, and facilitate cross-team collaboration. All employees are expected to attend, as critical decisions regarding project timelines, resource allocation, and strategic priorities will be discussed. The healthcare team convenes regularly to discuss patient care, treatment plans, and operational updates. Facilitate regular coordination meetings with subordinate health units to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, supplemented by a CPA or CMA certification. A minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience is required, including proficiency in GAAP and financial reporting standards.
