Job Summary:

The State Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the comprehensive oversight of all medical operations across AHF-Nigeria-supported facilities within the designated state, including both primary and satellite locations. This role ensures the strategic expansion of health services throughout the region while maintaining adherence to the highest standards of patient care.

Overseeing a range of critical duties and responsibilities, this role demands meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to achieving organizational objectives. Key tasks include managing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, and fostering a collaborative work environment to drive team productivity. As a manager, the incumbent is responsible for directing medical and AHF operations across the state while collaborating with the Country Program Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical services in a streamlined and effective manner.

The individual will spearhead the growth of the AHF Program across the state.

Offer technical assistance to the Prevention and Treatment program by maintaining robust patient linkage and service integration processes to effectively connect outreach activities with treatment and care services.

Attends pivotal meetings with technical partners, subsequently conveying essential feedback to management via the Country Program Manager.

Ensures the execution of continuing medical education (CME) programs across all designated sites and actively contributes to the coordination and delivery of these sessions.

Conducts evaluations of staff requirements and facilitates orientation programs for new employees.

He/she participates in setting performance targets and staff appraisal, disciplining and addressing complaints of employees under his/her supervision.

Clinical Responsibilities:

Guarantee consistent, high-quality clinical services across all AHF-supported sites within their designated region.

Prepare periodic, in-depth support supervision reports in strict alignment with AHF-provided tools and methodologies.

Promotes the establishment and adherence to standardized operating procedures across all operations to uphold good clinical practice standards, while ensuring the presence of fully functional Quality Improvement (QI) teams at the site level.

Oversee and execute quality management initiatives while establishing and monitoring quality benchmarks, in addition to leading quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts through structured sessions.

Enhance the delivery of TB/HIV, PMTCT, and ART services by implementing integrated service delivery models and ensuring the provision of high-quality care within the state program.

Ensures the seamless operation of laboratory services, encompassing the effective functioning of sample referral networks across regional areas.

Offer on-site technical guidance and mentorship to field personnel while overseeing the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) processes of the project.

Ensures optimal patient flow across all facilities, particularly those experiencing high patient volumes, and coordinates time motion studies to evaluate operational performance.

The position involves ensuring the prompt gathering, organization, and dissemination of both routine and specialized data to inform strategic decisions at the site, regional, and country program levels.

Analyze potential indicators of early warning resistance and develop effective intervention strategies accordingly.

To stay informed about the latest developments and established guidelines in the clinical management of HIV/AIDS and associated conditions.

Collaborate closely with regional teams to develop and track annual performance objectives, ensuring consistent achievement of targets across all locations.

Supervises a team of employees, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures while fostering a productive work environment. Delegates tasks effectively, monitors performance, and provides guidance to enhance team efficiency. Responsibilities include preparing and submitting monthly drug inventory reports punctually in collaboration with the Program pharmacist.

Collaborate closely with the program pharmacists to guarantee that all pharmacy operations adhere to established good pharmacy practices.

Through targeted initiatives, spearhead the advancement and dissemination of operational research within the site, while concurrently cultivating staff proficiency in delivering case presentations and crafting scientific manuscripts.

Attends and actively engages in meetings and committees hosted by the Association of Healthcare Facilities (AHF), contributing insights and expertise to collaborative discussions and decision-making processes.

We gather leadership teams from across the organization to review performance metrics, align strategic initiatives, and address operational challenges. These sessions evaluate progress against quarterly objectives, ensuring all departments maintain cohesion in achieving overarching business goals. Participants analyze key data, discuss resource allocation, and propose solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. The meetings also serve as a platform for sharing best practices, fostering collaboration, and making data-driven decisions to drive sustainable growth.
