Purpose of the Role

The Child Rights and Responsible Business Intern will assist International Alert in advancing initiatives at the convergence of child rights, responsible business practices, the intersection of business and human rights, and strategic private sector engagement.

The ideal candidate must possess robust research and analytical capabilities, coupled with a client-centric approach and the capacity to cultivate and sustain constructive partnerships across businesses, industry stakeholders, governmental bodies, civil society organizations, and development partners.

The intern will play a key role in executing programs, fostering stakeholder relationships, and expanding business outreach efforts, while conducting policy analysis and managing knowledge resources. Additionally, they will assist in coordinating training initiatives and crafting practical solutions designed to empower companies in recognizing, mitigating, and resolving risks to children’s rights throughout their operations, supply chains, and local communities.

Oversee and execute critical responsibilities encompassing strategic planning, project management, and stakeholder engagement to drive organizational growth and operational efficiency. Lead cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of innovative solutions, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives. Monitor departmental performance through data analysis, performance metrics, and KPIs to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine policies, procedures, and best practices that enhance productivity and compliance. Serve as a liaison between various departments and external partners to facilitate seamless communication and coordination.

We are seeking a Program Support professional to provide comprehensive administrative and operational assistance to our program teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating meetings, managing documentation, tracking project milestones, and ensuring adherence to established processes and deadlines. Additionally, they will serve as a liaison between program teams and external stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration. Assist with the execution of initiatives focused on Child Rights and Responsible Business, ensuring alignment with established goals and objectives.

Support the organization and execution of meetings, workshops, consultations, training sessions, and stakeholder engagements.
