Job Summary:
We seek a dynamic Business Development Manager to spearhead institutional engagement, revenue expansion, strategic partnership cultivation, and the translation of policy into market-ready solutions across federal ministries, departments, agencies, and state governments. This position transcends traditional sales responsibilities, requiring a candidate with a robust understanding of Nigeria’s public sector dynamics, commercial acumen, and the interpersonal finesse to bridge government policy objectives with scalable technology offerings. The role demands expertise at the convergence of government affairs, technological innovation, national policy frameworks, and institutional transformation.
Oversee core operational duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and performance optimization to ensure organizational objectives are met with precision and efficiency. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain compliance, mitigate risks, and uphold high standards of quality and accountability. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate progress, identify areas for enhancement, and implement corrective actions as needed. Serve as a liaison between senior management and staff to communicate priorities, align resources, and foster a culture of transparency and innovation.
Develop and maintain high-level strategic partnerships with key leaders in Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDS), the Presidency, the legislature, and other pertinent government bodies.
Act as the primary liaison for engagements with government counterparts and officially represent the organization in ministerial meetings, policy discussions, and legislative proceedings.
You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and converting new business opportunities in the public sector, managing the entire pipeline from initial prospecting to final contract execution.
Devising and implementing a comprehensive territory plan spanning all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, this role entails surpassing quarterly and annual business development targets with precision and effectiveness.
Monitor, analyze, and provide executive briefings on evolving government policies, national priorities, and legislative updates pertinent to the organization’s strategic objectives.
Translate government policy objectives into actionable innovation initiatives within the organization, pinpointing specific programs or reforms that present viable avenues for implementation.
Stay abreast of evolving procurement schedules, budget distributions, and policy reform initiatives within key ministries to ensure timely and informed decision-making.
Prepare routine pipeline, conversion, and engagement analyses while ensuring precise documentation of all stakeholder interactions within the CRM system.
Develop and maintain a prominent, respected public presence across government, technology, and policy sectors, actively engaging in national dialogues centered on governance technology and reforms within the public sector.
Partner with technical, operations, and product teams to validate the feasibility of proposals while incorporating stakeholder feedback into actionable product enhancements.
Assist the CEO and leadership team in preparing strategic briefings for upcoming high-level government engagements.

A robust knowledge of Nigeria’s civil service framework, procurement methodologies, and the interplay between federal and state governance structures.

Consistently achieves or surpasses revenue and partnership targets within a results-driven, performance-oriented setting.
Experience in liaising with government policy frameworks, participating in budgetary planning cycles, analyzing white papers, overseeing reform initiatives, or facilitating legislative discussions.
Demonstrates a strong track record in crafting and delivering persuasive proposals tailored to senior leadership and government officials.
Fluent mastery of both spoken and written English is required, characterized by eloquence, persuasiveness, and precision.
