Job Summary

The Bakery Manager oversees all bakery functions, ensuring seamless production, sales targets are met, and customer satisfaction remains high while supervising staff, maintaining quality standards, managing inventory, and driving profitability.

Oversee and execute critical tasks to ensure operational excellence, including the development and implementation of strategic initiatives aligned with organizational objectives. Collaborate cross-functionally to drive project completion, fostering innovation and efficiency across departments. Monitor performance metrics, analyze trends, and recommend data-driven improvements to enhance productivity and quality. Manage stakeholder relationships, maintaining clear communication to align expectations and deliver consistent results. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices to mitigate risks and uphold governance standards. Lead and mentor teams, providing guidance, resources, and professional growth opportunities to cultivate a high-performing workforce. Prepare and present reports to senior leadership, offering insights and actionable recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Oversee bakery team operations and assess individual performance to ensure adherence to standards and productivity goals.

Responsible for overseeing inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability and mitigating the risk of shortages.

Maintain adherence to food safety regulations as well as the company’s established standards.

Monitor production expenses and optimize resource utilization to minimize excess waste.

Oversee the upkeep and servicing of all bakery machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Address customer concerns with efficiency and professionalism, ensuring timely resolution of complaints to maintain satisfaction.

Compile operational and performance reports to provide detailed insights and data analysis.

Develop and execute strategies aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and maximizing profitability.

Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with at least three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Prior experience leading projects or mentoring junior staff is highly desirable. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance protocols is a must. The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is critical.

A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration, Food Technology, Hospitality Management, or a closely related discipline is required.

A minimum of four years of hands-on experience in bakery operations is required, with at least some of that time dedicated to supervisory roles.

Applicants with prior oversight in a commercial bakery environment are highly desirable.
