Job Summary

The Bakery Production Officer oversees and directs daily bakery operations, meticulously planning and coordinating production schedules to uphold stringent quality standards, optimize resource allocation, and minimize waste while ensuring products are ready for sale in a timely manner.

Oversee and execute critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and performance monitoring to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project initiatives, foster innovation, and maintain high standards of quality and compliance. Serve as a key liaison between departments, stakeholders, and leadership to align efforts, resolve challenges, and optimize workflows. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance productivity, mitigate risks, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making and strategic growth. Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety protocols, and ethical standards while fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Develop daily production schedules by analyzing sales forecasts and demand patterns to ensure efficient resource allocation.

Maintain full compliance with authorized recipes and established production protocols.

Ensure uniformity and high standards in the quality of all bakery products produced.

Oversee the bakery’s production team, delegating daily responsibilities as needed.

Seeking a candidate with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, demonstrating a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in a similar role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. The ideal applicant will possess a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, while maintaining a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

A relevant qualification such as an HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Production Management, or an equivalent discipline is required.

A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in bakery or food production operations is required.

Commercial bakery production experience is strongly preferred.

Seeking a candidate with proficiency in project management tools, exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, and a solid background in data analysis. The ideal applicant will demonstrate problem-solving expertise, adaptability to evolving priorities, and a keen eye for detail. Familiarity with industry-standard software, including Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel, is essential. Additionally, experience with CRM systems and SQL proficiency are highly valued.
