NRC Nigeria is seeking a dynamic and driven Partnership Intern to support our Country Office operations in Abuja.

The intern will assist the Partnerships unit in coordinating and managing NRC’s partnerships and relationships with local implementing partners on a day-to-day basis.

This position offers a valuable chance to develop expertise in partnership management, donor compliance, and humanitarian program implementation within NRC.

Oversee and execute core duties encompassing strategic planning, operational oversight, and team leadership to ensure organizational objectives are met. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency, productivity, and compliance across departments. Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams to drive innovation, resolve challenges, and achieve measurable results in alignment with company goals. Monitor performance metrics, analyze trends, and provide data-driven recommendations to senior management to support informed decision-making. Serve as a key liaison between executive leadership and employees, ensuring clear communication of expectations, progress, and organizational changes.

Partner Liaison and Coordination involves fostering strong relationships with external stakeholders while ensuring seamless communication and alignment between organizational objectives. This role demands exceptional interpersonal skills to cultivate trust and collaboration, alongside the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include organizing meetings, facilitating discussions, and resolving conflicts to maintain productive partnerships. Facilitate effective communication channels between the NRC and its implementing partners to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration.

Provide support in coordinating partner meetings, facilitating selection processes, and conducting workshops.

Attend meetings to accurately document key discussions and decisions, and assist in tracking and executing agreed-upon action items.

Foster and sustain productive partnerships with collaborators to ensure seamless collaboration.

Prepare and maintain accurate records, documents, and files in accordance with established procedures and regulatory standards. Ensure all documentation is organized, up-to-date, and readily accessible to authorized personnel while safeguarding confidentiality and integrity. Verify completeness and accuracy of submitted materials, and adhere to filing protocols to support efficient retrieval and compliance with organizational policies.

Provide support in ensuring the accurate organization and preservation of partnership documents through proper filing and archiving procedures.

We will assist in the maintenance and enhancement of partnership trackers, standardized templates, and databases to ensure accuracy and efficiency in tracking and reporting.

Ensure that all documents, including agreements, reports, and assessments, are maintained in an organized and readily accessible manner.

Assist in gathering all necessary documentation from partners.

Provide compliance and reporting assistance by ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies, compiling and analyzing data, and preparing accurate reports for stakeholders. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices to mitigate risks and support organizational compliance efforts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information, address compliance inquiries, and implement corrective actions as required.

Support the coordination of partner reporting deadlines and the timely submission of required materials.

Review partner-submitted reports to ensure they are complete and meet established standards.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing that partners adhere to all deadlines for document submission to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.

Programme and Coordination Support:

Collaborate closely with Program and Finance teams to coordinate partner activities seamlessly.

Support the monitoring of implementation progress and partner engagements to ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives.

Provide comprehensive administrative support to facilitate seamless sub-grant processes.

Capacity-building support involves providing tailored guidance, training, and resources to enhance organizational capabilities, strengthen operational efficiency, and foster sustainable growth, ensuring stakeholders are equipped to achieve their strategic objectives effectively.

Support the coordination and execution of partner training programs and workshops.

Assist in the creation and production of training materials to ensure they are ready for distribution and use.

Assist in coordinating logistical elements, including securing venues, arranging transportation, and preparing necessary materials.

Offer foundational assistance during virtual or face-to-face instructional sessions.

Assist with the documentation of training outputs and participant feedback to ensure accurate record-keeping and continuous improvement.

Provides support for partnership processes, ensuring efficient and effective management of collaborative initiatives to meet organizational goals and foster strong partner relationships.

Assist in identifying and evaluating potential partners by preparing documentation, coordinating logistics, and facilitating meetings to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Assist in conducting essential evaluations of partner capabilities and gather necessary data for analysis.

Assist in conducting thorough administrative reviews of partner budgets to ensure completeness.

Collaborate on the upkeep and enhancement of partnership tools and templates.

Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to supporting team members, assisting with special projects, and contributing to departmental initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Execute all additional assignments directed by the Partnerships Manager or Partnerships Officer, as required.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, with a minimum of five years of hands-on software development experience. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go is essential, and expertise in cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset are necessary to thrive in this role. Responsibilities include designing scalable systems, writing clean and maintainable code, and contributing to architectural decisions.

A relevant university degree or higher education qualification is required, ideally in International Relations, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or Project Management.

The assignment is scheduled for a six-month period, commencing in July 2026 and concluding in December 2026, with the potential for extension.

We are currently seeking candidates for a Grade 2 position within the NRC framework. This role requires a professional with a strong foundation in teaching or supporting students at the second-grade level. Responsibilities include delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, patience, and a commitment to student development. Familiarity with NRC standards and educational best practices is essential.

The role falls under the Partnership Coordinator, serving as the primary reporting line.
