We seek a meticulous and highly organized professional to join our Risk department in the capacity of an Area Collections Executive. This individual will spearhead initiatives and operational processes focused on field-based collections for our PAY products. Additionally, they will provide strategic guidance and recommendations aimed at enhancing customer payment efficiency and satisfaction, all while ensuring the company’s offerings align with end-user expectations.

The position is based in Nigeria and requires onsite attendance. This is a fixed-term contract role within the Corporate Risk department.

What you would be expected to do

Evaluating regional portfolio performance and repayment patterns, we formulate daily, weekly, and monthly action plans to enhance collection rates from delinquent customers.

Conducting field visits to verify sales quality and gather diverse regional insights, enabling strategic adjustments to address challenges such as disabled lamps and repayment issues.

Each week, we prepare and distribute detailed reports to the Sales and Risk Management teams, highlighting field interventions executed and their corresponding outcomes, alongside valuable customer insights.

Designing, implementing, and scaling collection processes are essential to enhance repayment rates and improve customer satisfaction.

Collaborating closely with Area Business Managers and Field Sales Executives, this role involves repossessing products from delinquent customers when direct intervention becomes necessary.

Report all instances of suspected product tampering detected in the field by utilizing the reporting procedures and systems designated by the Risk team.

Investigating and addressing instances of fraudulent behavior in the field, including product tampering and deceptive sales practices by Field Sales Executives (FSE’s), in strict adherence to the established Risk function protocols.

Training field sales executives to effectively manage repossessions and navigate challenging customer collection scenarios is a key responsibility.

To ensure timely completion of collection calls and repossession tasks, you will drive the operating rhythm by following up with Agents (Field Officers) to maintain accountability and adherence to schedules.

We are responsible for identifying and onboarding cash collection centers and establishing the essential collection infrastructure.

A Bachelor’s degree or higher diploma in Finance, Community Development, Communication, Credit Risk Management, or related disciplines is required.

Seeking candidates with a minimum of one year of professional experience in a comparable role, including practical fieldwork and engagement with rural customer settlements.

We are eager to engage professionals who are passionate about driving collections, resolving issues, and enhancing the customer experience in the field.

Experienced professionals with a strong background in Microfinance, Fintech, or banking, particularly in Credit Collections and debt recovery, are preferred for this role.
