Job Summary
We are in search of a meticulous and seasoned Accounts Supervisor to facilitate the proficient oversight of the organization’s accounting functions.
The successful applicant will maintain precise, compliant, and punctual financial record keeping.
Oversee a range of critical operational duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and frameworks that enhance efficiency, compliance, and performance across departments. Lead and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze data trends, and present actionable insights to senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making. Ensure adherence to industry regulations, quality standards, and best practices while mitigating risks and optimizing resource allocation. Act as a liaison between executive leadership, employees, and external stakeholders to align goals and facilitate seamless communication.
Oversee routine accounting operations and maintain precise financial documentation.
Compile, scrutinize, and validate financial reports, schedules, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.
Oversee the management and execution of accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely processing of financial transactions.
Ensure adherence to organizational policies, legal regulations, and established accounting standards.
Facilitate audit processes by promptly addressing and resolving audit-related inquiries, ensuring compliance with established standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with audit teams to provide necessary documentation and clarifications, thereby supporting comprehensive audit engagements and fostering accurate reporting.
Support the preparation and management of budgets, monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with financial targets, and conduct thorough financial analysis to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
Handle all additional accounting duties as directed, ensuring thoroughness and adherence to established procedures and standards.
Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, alongside a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, along with expertise in database management and API integration. The ideal applicant should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of leading successful projects from inception to completion. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure is highly desirable.
Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Accounting, or an equivalent qualification, is required.
Professional certification, such as ICAN or ARCA, is considered a valuable asset.
3–5 years of accounting experience is required, with a preference for candidates who have worked in a well-organized corporate environment.
