Vita foam, deriving its name from “Vita”—the Latin term for “life,” has consistently dedicated itself to enhancing every facet of life from infancy to old age since its establishment. The company has crafted high-quality domestic and industrial products that deliver unparalleled value and comfort for work, education, leisure, health, maternity, and child development. Founded in 1962 by two industry leaders, British Vita and Unilever, and listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 1978, Vita foam has emerged as Nigeria’s foremost manufacturer of polyether foam, foam products, furniture, upholstery, and adhesives. Its pioneering success stemmed from a pivotal partnership with G.B. Gallivant Nigeria Limited, which was appointed as its sole distributor in 1962, followed by the installation of a continuous polyether foaming plant at its inaugural IKEA factory in 1966.
