The ideal candidate will undertake the following duties and responsibilities:

Preparing recurring financial and management reports constitutes a key responsibility. Handling financial transactions and conducting reconciliations are essential duties. Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of BPP financial requirements for government contracts is also required.

Prepare financial documentation for fundraising rounds, grant applications, and investor due diligence purposes. Develop and maintain budgeting frameworks, financial forecasts, and strategic planning initiatives to ensure accurate and comprehensive financial reporting.

Responsibilities include overseeing cash flow management and treasury operations to ensure financial stability and efficiency. This role requires vigilant monitoring of liquidity, fund transfers, and investment activities to optimize resources and mitigate financial risks.

Ensuring adherence to tax obligations, statutory mandates, and regulatory standards represents a critical component of this role, requiring meticulous attention to evolving legal frameworks and precise execution of reporting obligations.

Facilitating comprehensive internal and external audit activities while establishing and sustaining robust internal control frameworks.

Providing support to leadership by conducting financial analysis and preparing decision-support reports.

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications and requirements to excel in this role. Proficient in contract-based financial management and procurement methodologies, with a comprehensive understanding of associated processes.

Proficiency in donor compliance frameworks of organizations such as the World Bank or the African Development Bank (AFDB) is highly valued.

Exceptional proficiency in analytical reasoning, problem resolution, and financial modelling is required.

Maintains the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and meticulous attention to detail in all responsibilities.
