Support the implementation of R-DATS project development, research, monitoring, and evaluation activities.

This role presents a valuable chance to develop substantial practical skills in research methodologies, survey implementation, and data administration.

The NYC Survey Data Analysis Intern will perform a variety of tasks, including the following responsibilities:

Support the execution of research initiatives, including baseline studies, impact assessments, and mid-term evaluations.

Support the development of data collection instruments and statistical analysis methodologies.

Assist with gathering, inputting, processing, verifying, and refining data to ensure accuracy and integrity.

Ensure rigorous adherence to all established data quality protocols throughout the processes of data collection and data cleansing.

Collate, analyze, and visualize data while preparing comprehensive reports and ensuring their effective dissemination.

Collaborate closely with the RATS team to create comprehensive reports, compile and analyze data, and effectively share key success stories and critical lessons learned from project outcomes.

Facilitate the organization and coordination of daily research activities in alignment with established project implementation schedules.

Perform all additional responsibilities as directed by the supervisor, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field, demonstrating proficiency in key technical skills and methodologies. The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related discipline from an accredited institution. Strong analytical capabilities, exceptional problem-solving aptitude, and meticulous attention to detail are essential. Additionally, the role demands excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Candidates should exhibit a proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced environments while adhering to strict deadlines. Familiarity with industry-specific tools, software, or frameworks is strongly preferred. Proficiency in both written and verbal English is required, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision is highly valued. Prior experience in project management or leadership roles is a significant advantage.

A bachelor’s degree in Demography, Economics, Statistics, Sociology, Public Health, or other quantitative disciplines is required.

Proficiency in utilizing State or SPSS for survey data analysis is a prerequisite for this position.

Proficient in quantitative analysis and experienced with data visualization and statistical tools, including Tableau, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel.

A background in research execution, survey data analysis, and program monitoring and evaluation (M&E) is strongly preferred.

Proficiency in handling extensive secondary datasets, including MICS, DHS, and NARKS, is highly beneficial.

Proficient in both verbal and written English communication, with a strong commitment to quality and meticulous attention to detail.

Candidates must exhibit cultural awareness and a proven track record of effectively collaborating with diverse teams.

Demonstrates strong self-motivation, analytical thinking, and the initiative to seek assistance when appropriate.

Demonstrates a strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and PowerPoint, with the ability to leverage these tools effectively for various tasks.
