Job Summary

The Inventory Officer is tasked with managing the company’s inventory processes, which includes maintaining precise stock records, optimizing inventory levels, and facilitating efficient stock movement.

This position requires overseeing stock inflow and outflow, performing routine stock audits, preparing inventory reports, and guaranteeing appropriate storage and product handling procedures are followed.

Oversee and execute critical operational duties to ensure seamless business functioning, including strategic planning, team leadership, and performance monitoring. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align objectives and drive organizational growth. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and compliance. Analyze data and generate actionable insights to support informed decision-making. Serve as a liaison between senior management and staff, fostering transparent communication and accountability. Manage resources effectively to optimize productivity and meet key performance indicators.

Ensure optimal inventory levels are consistently maintained to guarantee sufficient stock availability at all times.

Maintain accurate documentation and monitoring of stock activities, encompassing transfers, sales, and returns.

Perform regular physical inventory counts and investigate any variances between recorded and actual stock levels.

Ensure precise inventory records are maintained through the utilization of inventory management systems or spreadsheets.

Compile and present inventory reports for submission to management on a regular basis.

Identify and track products with low turnover, expiration dates that have passed, or visible damage, and promptly submit detailed reports on these items.

Maintain strict adherence to established company inventory policies and procedures to ensure operational consistency and regulatory compliance.

Assist with both internal and external audits focused on inventory management processes.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. A minimum of five years of progressive experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or strategic planning is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems are mandatory. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are critical. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. Experience with financial modeling and forecasting is highly preferred. Knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance standards is necessary. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment is required.

We require candidates to possess at least an Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
