Construct and sustain a robust pipeline encompassing potential clients, projects, and business opportunities.
Develop and nurture partnerships with corporate entities, project sponsors, financial institutions, investors, governmental bodies, development finance institutions (Dais), and key strategic collaborators.
Spearhead strategic business development efforts designed to elevate transaction volumes and enhance overall company revenue.
Explore prospects in financial advisory, capital raising, project finance, debt syndication, mergers and acquisitions, and other related engagements to identify strategic opportunities.
Client Relationship Management: You will be responsible for cultivating and sustaining strong, long-term partnerships with key clients, ensuring their satisfaction and retention. This role involves actively engaging with clients to understand their needs, addressing concerns promptly, and providing tailored solutions to meet their objectives. You will also collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain open lines of communication throughout the engagement. Forge and nurture strategic partnerships with a diverse range of financial institutions, including banks, investors, development finance organizations, private equity firms, legal practices, specialized consultants, and key players within the industry.
Act as the company’s ambassador at various industry events, conferences, networking gatherings, and business forums.
Drive market engagement by elevating the company’s brand visibility and highlighting its diverse range of service solutions to target audiences.
Report to the designated manager and provide regular updates on performance metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Oversee the collection, analysis, and presentation of data to evaluate team and individual productivity, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Develop and implement performance management strategies to enhance efficiency, accountability, and overall operational effectiveness. Maintain clear documentation of progress and facilitate constructive feedback sessions to support continuous growth and development within the team.
Compile regular business development reports and provide timely updates on the pipeline.
Accurately document and track all leads, prospects, meetings, and transaction progress to ensure meticulous record-keeping.
Monitor and provide updates on business development objectives and key performance indicators.
Prepare and submit comprehensive reports to management on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, detailing activities performed and key achievements accomplished.
Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, along with a minimum of five years of professional experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, as is the ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities are required to collaborate effectively across departments. Familiarity with regulatory compliance and best practices is a key expectation. Additionally, the ideal applicant will possess project management experience and a track record of delivering measurable results.
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Banking & Finance, or a closely related field is required.
Established relationships across corporate, banking, institutional investment, and broader business sectors.
Proficiency in financial markets, project finance, and advisory services is essential.
A minimum of five to eight years of hands-on experience in business development, investment banking, corporate finance, financial advisory, project finance, or closely related disciplines is required.
Proven expertise in transaction initiation and maintaining client relationships.
Skilled in clear articulation, persuasive negotiation, and impactful presentation delivery.
