Responsibilities include assessing loads for transportation, evaluating their dimensions, configuration, and weight, and selecting the appropriate equipment required for safe and efficient movement.

Responsibilities include assembling, managing, and disassembling lighting systems, lighting control units, and related electrical and rigging hardware for photography, television, film, video, and live event productions.

Responsibilities include assembling, positioning, and securing heavy machinery and equipment, such as cranes, mobile booms, or temporary installations like scaffolding, ensuring proper alignment, leveling, and stability through anchoring techniques.

Responsibilities include rigging, programming, monitoring, repairing, and operating lighting equipment to elevate events and performances, encompassing tasks such as loading equipment, managing cable layouts, suspending lights (which may require climbing), and fine-tuning fixtures.

Responsibilities include setting up and managing the lighting system for productions, executing lighting effects in accordance with the Lighting Designer’s specifications, and operating both manual and computer-controlled systems throughout performances.

Evaluating the integrity of wiring configurations and equipment installations to mitigate hazards such as fire or electrical shock, while ensuring all lighting apparatus remains operational and compliant with safety standards.

After each performance, equipment is disassembled and securely stored, while post-production responsibilities include the installation of temporary electrical power systems.

Responsibilities include disassembling and safely storing rigging equipment post-use, identifying and reporting any safety concerns, and strictly following established occupational health and safety protocols throughout all operations.
