Position Overview

As a Production Technician, your key responsibilities will include operating, monitoring, and performing routine maintenance on our industrial dehydration systems, such as tray dryers, belt dryers, and freeze-drying equipment. You will prioritize maintaining peak machine efficiency, adhering to stringent food safety protocols, and meeting production yield goals while reducing material waste.

Oversee and execute critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational success. Develop and implement comprehensive policies, procedures, and performance metrics to ensure efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement. Lead high-impact projects, monitor key performance indicators, and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional development within the team while aligning all initiatives with overarching business objectives. Serve as a liaison between departments, stakeholders, and external partners to facilitate seamless communication and alignment of goals.

Operates and maintains various types of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Monitors equipment functions to detect irregularities, performs routine inspections, and performs basic troubleshooting. Reports any malfunctions or deviations from standard operating procedures to the appropriate personnel. Follows established safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks and ensure a secure work environment. Maintains accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and any incidents or issues encountered.

Operate, monitor, and fine-tune industrial food dehydration systems in strict adherence to product specifications and established standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Monitor critical control points (CCPs)—including air temperature, humidity levels, air velocity, and drying times—to verify consistent moisture content and maintain optimal product quality.

Conduct thorough pre-startup inspections and calibration procedures on dehydration equipment prior to each operational cycle.

Ensures adherence to rigorous quality standards and food safety protocols throughout all stages of production and distribution. Conducts comprehensive inspections, tests, and audits to verify compliance with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and internal policies. Identifies potential hazards, implements corrective actions, and maintains detailed documentation to support traceability and accountability. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns, drive continuous improvement, and uphold the company’s commitment to excellence and consumer trust.

Ensure full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) guidelines, and the company’s established food safety standards.

Perform routine quality assessments on incoming raw materials prior to the drying process, as well as on finished dehydrated products, evaluating factors such as moisture content, texture, and visual integrity.

Document and maintain comprehensive records of all process parameters, production yields, and quality deviations within the batch records.

Responsible for performing routine maintenance and resolving technical issues efficiently, the Maintenance & Troubleshooting team ensures optimal operation of equipment and systems. This role demands a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software systems, along with the ability to diagnose and repair faults promptly. Key responsibilities include conducting preventive maintenance, responding to service requests, and documenting findings to prevent recurring problems. Candidates must possess technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure while adhering to safety protocols.

Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on dehydration units, conveyor systems, slicing machines, and sorting equipment.

Diagnose and resolve mechanical and operational issues promptly to reduce production downtime.

Collaborate closely with the maintenance engineering team to address intricate repairs and perform comprehensive system overhauls.

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety is essential to our operations, ensuring a healthy and secure environment for both employees and customers. This role involves rigorous adherence to sanitation protocols, rigorous cleaning schedules, and strict compliance with health regulations. Responsibilities include regularly inspecting facilities, addressing potential hazards, and implementing preventative measures to mitigate risks. Candidates must demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to work in fast-paced environments. Prior experience in sanitation, food safety, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant certifications where applicable.

Perform clean-in-place (CIP) and manual sanitation procedures on dehydration chambers, associated ducts, and all food-contact surfaces to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.

Ensure adherence to 5S standards by maintaining a consistently clean, well-organized, and safe work environment.

Adhere to all occupational health and safety protocols by consistently wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong academic background in a relevant field, such as engineering, business, or computer science, alongside a minimum of three years of professional experience in a comparable role. The ideal applicant will possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with proficiency in industry-standard software and tools. Responsibilities include analyzing complex data sets, developing strategic solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success. A commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in a fast-paced environment is essential. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and demonstrate a track record of delivering measurable results in previous positions.

A Higher National Diploma (HND), Bachelor of Science, or Technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Food Processing Engineering, or a closely related discipline is strongly preferred.

Minimum of two to ten years of experience in the operation of industrial machinery, preferably within food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.

Industrial dehydration systems operation experience is highly advantageous.

Required experience includes a working knowledge of Food Safety management systems such as HACCP, SF, BRC, or ISO 22000, along with a thorough understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.
