JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a proficient and driven Solar Installation Officer with a minimum of two years of experience in the renewable energy industry. The successful candidate will oversee the installation, commissioning, and upkeep of solar photovoltaic systems across residential, commercial, and industrial applications. This position demands robust technical expertise, meticulous precision, and the capacity to collaborate effectively—whether working autonomously or as part of a cohesive team.

Oversee and execute a range of duties encompassing project planning, coordination, and delivery to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, mitigate risks, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to maintain accountability and foster transparency throughout execution. Conduct regular assessments to evaluate performance, address challenges proactively, and implement corrective measures as needed. Serve as a liaison between stakeholders to facilitate clear communication, align expectations, and resolve conflicts promptly. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies to uphold organizational integrity.

Install, inspect, and maintain photovoltaic (PV) systems while ensuring full compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Translate and execute solar system designs and schematics with precision, ensuring alignment with project specifications and industry standards throughout the implementation process.

Perform on-site evaluations to ascertain system requirements and assess the viability of installation.

Collaborate effectively with project engineers, electricians, and contractors to guarantee punctual and precise installations.

Execute troubleshooting procedures, conduct comprehensive diagnostics, and perform necessary repairs on photovoltaic (PV) systems as required.

Maintain strict adherence to all safety protocols and established company policies to uphold regulatory compliance.

Ensure meticulous documentation of installations, materials utilized, and service-related actions.

Deliver comprehensive client support and conduct educational sessions focused on system operations and maintenance.

The ideal candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The position demands meticulous attention to detail, the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to meeting deadlines consistently. Prior experience in project management or leadership roles is highly advantageous.

A minimum of one year of practical experience in solar photovoltaic (PV) installation or another relevant renewable energy sector is required.

A diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is required.

Skilled in the components, wiring, and safety standards of solar PV systems, including NEC and IEC.

Proficient in analyzing and comprehending technical drawings and electrical schematics with precision and clarity.

Proficiency in utilizing tools, equipment, and testing instruments essential for solar installation projects is required.

Proficiency in hybrid systems, battery storage, or solar water heating systems is required.

Relevant certifications, such as those from NAB CEP or the PV Installation Professional program, are considered advantageous assets.

Proficient in analytical reasoning and meticulous in execution, with a keen eye for precision.

Maintaining a high level of physical fitness and the capability to perform tasks at elevated heights or adapt to diverse outdoor environments are essential for this role.
