As a completion and Well Intervention (CGI) Engineer, your role will involve designing, planning, and executing Completions and Well Intervention operations throughout the SNEP CO portfolio.
What you’ll be doing
You will oversee the full lifecycle of well completion and intervention projects, ensuring alignment with Shell’s Global Well Delivery Process (GWDP). This encompasses identifying front-end concepts, advancing detailed design, executing plans, managing and coordinating third-party contractors, driving performance and continuous improvement, engaging with regulatory bodies, and championing HESSE leadership throughout all stages.

What you bring
With a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in well engineering and operations—particularly in completions and well intervention—a degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Applied Sciences, or a closely related technical field is required.
Skilled in employing completion and tubing design software, with a proven ability to deliver complex projects across multiple disciplines.
Demonstrates a proven ability to effectively manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, including both internal teams and external partners.
Competitive completion and intervention designs are refined in accordance with Shell’s internal and external standards, requirements, and process controls to ensure alignment and compliance throughout development.
Robust risk management processes are implemented, encompassing risk identification, mitigation, and contingency planning in alignment with the Shell risk framework.
Detailed cost and time estimates are prepared, performance metrics are meticulously tracked, and comprehensive execution programs are developed in coordination with operations teams.
The role involves orchestrating technical contributions for regulatory filings and permitting processes, overseeing the transfer of post-well documentation to production teams, and performing post-job after-action assessments to develop improvement strategies.
Driving performance improvement initiatives and global best practices, you will collaborate with Contracts & Procurement to design competitive contract frameworks, guarantee resource availability, and oversee contractor performance management. You will also champion HESSE excellence by conducting incident investigations, addressing compliance gaps, and facilitating external technical engagement with co-venture partners throughout the SNEP CO portfolio.
