The Fleet Officer will oversee the streamlined management, upkeep, regulatory adherence, and safety protocols for all company-owned vehicles. This position guarantees fleet operations comply with legal mandates, internal guidelines, and budget-conscious strategies while upholding rigorous safety and accountability standards.
Principal Accountabilities:
Ensure all vehicle documentation—such as registration, licensing, insurance, and permits—remains valid and accessible by distributing it directly to users or through their designated managers and supervisors.
Your responsibilities include managing the timely renewal of all vehicle documentation and registration processes for new vehicles to mitigate the risk of penalties or sanctions.
Maintain and update the vehicle schedule meticulously, guaranteeing that all records remain precise and comprehensive. Ensure each entry includes essential details such as the assigned user, registration number, department, location, engine number, chassis number, purchase price, previous user, allocation date, and purchase date.
Ensure strict adherence to Federal Road Safety regulations and all relevant statutory requirements while cultivating strategic relationships as needed.
Accurately document all incidents and claims details to ensure comprehensive record-keeping.
Assign, distribute, and adjust vehicle assignments to users as needed.
Perform quarterly assessments of all official vehicles to verify adherence to roadworthiness standards and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Conduct thorough evaluations of prospective drivers prior to hiring to verify their qualifications and adherence to regulatory standards.
Address and resolve various driver-related challenges, such as traffic violations and disputes, ensuring prompt and effective solutions to maintain compliance and satisfaction.
A minimum of one to three years of hands-on experience in fleet management or a comparable professional capacity is required.
