Job Summary

A dynamic and dedicated Chemistry Teacher is required to instruct students in the IGCSE, WAEC, NECK, British, and Nigerian curricula.

The successful applicant will craft and instruct dynamic lessons, fostering a deep and lasting comprehension of scientific principles among students while equipping them to excel in both internal and external assessments.

Oversee a range of critical duties including managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and fostering collaboration across departments to drive organizational efficiency. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and achieve long-term business objectives. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership to inform decision-making. Serve as a primary point of contact for cross-functional teams, facilitating communication and resolving escalated issues to maintain seamless operations. Lead process improvements, mentor junior staff, and champion innovative solutions to optimize resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.

Develop and execute comprehensive Chemistry lessons that meet the standards of IGCSE, WAEC, NECK, British, and Nigerian curricula, ensuring high-quality instruction and alignment with educational objectives.

Deliver impactful instruction in theoretical, practical, and experimental aspects of Chemistry with excellence.

Develop comprehensive lesson notes, structured schemes of work, and engaging instructional materials.

Execute laboratory experiments with unwavering commitment to safety protocols and procedural compliance.

Facilitate students’ readiness for standardized external assessments, specifically IGCSE, WAEC, and NECK examinations.

Create, assess, and grade assignments, exams, and tests while providing constructive feedback to students.

Ensure precise documentation of student achievements and developmental milestones.

Employ contemporary pedagogical strategies and digital resources to elevate the learning experience.

Oversee classroom behavior and cultivate an engaging, supportive educational atmosphere.

Assist students who require extra academic support and deliver remedial instruction as needed.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a closely related field is required, with a preference for candidates holding an educational background.

A teaching qualification, including a PGE, TRCN certification, or an equivalent credential, is highly advantageous.

Preferred candidates will have prior teaching experience in IGCSE and WAEC/NECK Chemistry.

Possesses comprehensive understanding of educational frameworks and assessment criteria for both the British and Nigerian curricula.

Proven ability to maintain a well-organized and productive classroom environment, coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Successfully prepares students to excel in external examinations.
