Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and forward-thinking Senior Procurement Specialist to lead and streamline procurement functions, supplier relations, and supply chain processes. The successful applicant will demonstrate deep industry expertise, exceptional negotiation abilities, and a demonstrated history of effectively procuring oil and gas equipment and technical materials.
Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, including but not limited to managing daily operations, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall performance while fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and drive data-informed decision-making. Collaborate with senior leadership to align departmental goals with organizational objectives, ensuring seamless integration and execution. Additionally, oversee budget management, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies to optimize operational outcomes and maintain financial sustainability.
Evaluate and select vendors and suppliers by conducting thorough research and assessments to ensure they meet established criteria and standards.
Proactively engage with OEMs and suppliers to solicit and finalize quotations and pricing details.
Responsibilities include developing and overseeing Requests for Quotation, conducting thorough bid evaluations, and preparing comprehensive contract documentation.
Procurement activities involve strategically sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring essential equipment, materials, and services to meet organizational requirements efficiently and cost-effectively.
Oversee the continuous management and periodic updates of the supplier database to ensure accuracy and currency of information.
Leverage strategic sourcing channels to identify, evaluate, and integrate reliable suppliers and OEMs into the organization’s network.
Develop and nurture robust partnerships with vendors and suppliers to ensure reliable and efficient collaboration.
Ensure all procurement activities adhere to established company policies and meet the stringent requirements of industry standards.
Your position will involve assisting with inventory management, logistics coordination, and supply chain optimization efforts to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Familiarity with cloud platforms, agile methodologies, and DevOps practices preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical concepts effectively to stakeholders and non-technical audiences. Must demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends.
A Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or an equivalent field is required. Alternatively, a Higher National Diploma (HND) in one of these disciplines is acceptable.
With a minimum of five years of hands-on procurement experience specifically in the EPCI or Oil & Gas industry, this role demands a proven track record in sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation within complex project environments.
Professional experience with Aria EP, including practical understanding of its features, modules, and functionalities, is required.
Extensive background in procuring oil and gas equipment, materials, and specialized technical services is required.
Exceptional proficiency in negotiation, analytical reasoning, and vendor management is essential.
Maintaining a high standard of professionalism, demonstrating proactive initiative, executing tasks with efficiency, and ensuring meticulous attention to detail are essential.
