The well site geologist is tasked with overseeing all geological personnel and operations at the well site, including mud logging, Logging While Drilling (LWD), wirelike services, and core handling/processing, while ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all geological data acquisition and reporting.

Well site geological services entail conducting real-time geological monitoring and data analysis during drilling operations to optimize well placement and ensure operational efficiency. This role demands expertise in interpreting geological formations, identifying potential hazards, and providing timely recommendations to mitigate risks. Professionals in this field must possess strong analytical skills, proficiency with specialized software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with drilling teams and engineers. Additionally, a solid understanding of wellborn stability, pore pressure evaluation, and formation evaluation techniques is essential.

Geological monitoring involves the systematic observation and analysis of geological conditions to assess potential hazards, track environmental changes, and ensure safety in mining operations. This role requires proficiency in interpreting geological data, identifying risks such as slope instability, seismic activity, or water ingress, and implementing mitigation strategies. Candidates must possess strong analytical skills, familiarity with monitoring equipment (e.g., inclinometers, piezometers, geophones), and the ability to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders. Responsibilities include conducting field surveys, maintaining instrumentation, and collaborating with engineering teams to support proactive risk management and compliance with regulatory standards.

Overseeing wirelike and logging-while-drilling (LWD) operations to ensure accurate data acquisition and operational efficiency.

Conducting oversight of the coring operation ensures precision, efficiency, and adherence to established protocols throughout the process.

Responsible for overseeing and managing mud logging activities to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy.

As part of this role, you will be accountable for generating and presenting regular reports that track key metrics and performance indicators. Your responsibilities will include compiling data from various systems, analyzing trends, and ensuring accuracy in all reporting outputs. You may also be required to deliver insights to leadership and stakeholders, summarizing findings in a clear and concise manner. Strong attention to detail and proficiency in data management tools will be essential to meet the demands of this position.

Conducting audits of geological services as warranted ensures compliance with established standards and operational protocols.

We are responsible for compiling and distributing Well Completion Reports, as well as overseeing Well site Geological Activities, specifically in the capacity of an Operations Geologist. This role involves coordinating, supervising, and managing company-operated well site geotechnical operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy in data collection and reporting.

Pre-drilling planning involves meticulous preparation to ensure the successful execution of drilling operations, including geological assessments, risk evaluations, and the development of detailed operational strategies. This phase requires collaboration among geologists, engineers, and drilling teams to analyze subsurface data, identify potential hazards, and design contingency plans. Accurate forecasting of geological formations, equipment specifications, and environmental considerations is essential to optimize efficiency and mitigate risks. Additionally, compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols must be integrated into the planning process to align with industry best practices and project objectives.

As the liaison between the company and external geological service providers, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all third-party vendors. This role ensures seamless communication, coordination, and alignment of activities to meet project objectives effectively. You will facilitate contract negotiations, monitor vendor performance, and address any operational or technical issues that may arise.

Monitor and oversee the acquisition and analysis of geological data at the well site, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting. Additionally, distribute critical findings and updates to relevant stakeholders while actively engaging in scheduled teleconferences and meetings. Furthermore, conduct thorough reviews and validation of invoices related to geological services to confirm compliance with contractual and financial standards.

Post-drill duties encompass managing the transportation of samples, logs, and reports, alongside executing specialized or ad-hoc projects as required.

Responsible for monitoring and analyzing abnormal pressure conditions within subsurface environments, this role ensures the identification of potential risks that could impact operational integrity. Duties include evaluating real-time data, assessing pressure trends, and implementing corrective measures when necessary to maintain safety and efficiency. Requires expertise in pressure monitoring systems, a strong understanding of geological formations, and proficiency in risk assessment methodologies. Candidates must possess analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond swiftly to critical situations. Familiarity with industry regulations and standard operating procedures is essential.

Ensure continuous monitoring of all abnormal pressure parameters, with captured data documented in a pressure evaluation log and subsequently reviewed alongside the company operations geologist and drilling supervisors as needed.

Craft comprehensive reports that consolidate parameters, observations, and interpretations, then disseminate them to relevant stakeholders.
