Overseeing the engineering team, whose responsibility it is to guarantee that all capital projects are technically sound and fully compliant with statutory regulations.
Diagnose and resolve typical valve malfunctions, including leakage, mechanical breakdowns, and material degradation.
Assist in the disassembly and reassembly of valves to facilitate part replacement, cleaning, and reconditioning.
Assist in evaluating valve performance to confirm compliance with customer specifications.
Conduct periodic inspections and assessments of valves, including leak detection, pressure verification, and flow measurement, to ensure operational integrity and compliance with safety standards.
Assist with the upkeep and calibration of field instruments to ensure precise process control.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with demonstrated expertise in AutoCAD and MATLAB.
A thorough knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards is essential.
Requirements
A Bachelor of Science degree or its equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation, Control Systems, or Process Engineering is required.
With a minimum of five to seven years of hands-on experience in valve calibration, flow measurement, instrumentation, and project management, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
