The Senior Systems Developer will be tasked with overseeing several core responsibilities, including:
Design, create, and sustain application and data integrations spanning Christian Aid’s systems through Microsoft technologies such as .NET, C, Power Automate, SKIS, and APIs.
Maintain and enhance Christian Aid’s application and integration architecture by identifying opportunities to automate processes and elevate reliability, performance, and data quality.
Establish and implement standardized best practices for seamless system and data integration across applications, leveraging critical thinking to refine and enhance existing solutions.
Monitor integration processes, addressing errors and job failures while proactively implementing preventive enhancements.
Conduct thorough examinations of system and data-related anomalies, perform detailed root cause assessments, and execute corrective measures to ensure such issues do not reoccur.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers to address challenges and ensure seamless, high-quality integration results.
Offer expert technical counsel and support to colleagues and project teams, leveraging specialized knowledge to enhance system design and implementation.
Prepare and sustain accurate technical documentation, ensuring seamless integration into live service operations when necessary.
About you
You’ll bring substantial handson experience designing and delivering solutions using Microsoft Dynamics and the Power Platform, supported by a relevant professional qualification. You have strong expertise in Dynamics customisation and extension, data modelling, integrations and APIs, and SQL Server, alongside solid experience with modern software engineering practices such as source control, automated testing, code review, and CI/CD.
You’re comfortable taking ownership of complex work in resourceconstrained environments, improving quality and reliability, and working directly with users to translate real needs into effective solutions. You understand the longterm impact of technical decisions and are able to balance pragmatism with sound design.
You should also ideally possess Microsoft certifications, prior experience in a not-for-profit or mission-driven environment, and a strong working knowledge of Azure or comparable cloud platforms.
